I got a message from Investigator Turner today. I called back. They said I passed a bad check from a bank I don't bank with. I do all my bills online and don't have a checking account but a savings with a credit union.  I am a teacher in Ohio. This number is from Dallas Texas. They are stating I didn't pay on a bill. Which I did! I had documentation as well I did.  It didn't match up at all. Very fishy to me. I know I didn't pass a bad check! But then they went on saying I didn't pay a bill that went on to collections. I have the documentation I did.  I asked for the bill and account number and what I owed to be mailed to me within 30 days. She hung up on me.

My uncle got the same call from "investigator" Turner. He called the cops and the cops tried to call them back no answer. I called them and they didn?t answer. I hate low lifes that try to take advantage of people. I wish they would try to call me with that sh*t!!!

I got a call today with that same call its a big fraud and scam she said she was looking for me saying shes a fraud investigator had my SS # if she calls again i will report to police she says a warant will be issued if i dont call in 1 hr i have never commited a crime in my life.

Red flag #1- They won't send you a letter? By law they have to. Tell them that. That's US Mail - not email, text, or fax. The letterhead must show their name, address, & phone number. It must show the amount of the debt, who it was with, & how much you now owe - and it must be signed.

Did they threaten you with a warrant?  Did you speak to anyone or did they leave you a message with a name by Investigator Turner.

I got a call from Investigator Turner and then transferred to Rebecca Miller who told me they are a national company working for Dallas County and threatned me on criminal charges and said no letter will be sent to me.  I asked if my attorney can call this number to get more information to make sure not a fraud and she said yes but then hung up.  Has anyone else got a call from this number 972-432-6586.  On my cell says unsaved number.
