They called, asked about my selling my company in next 4-5 years, then in the middle of my saying we were not interested in selling our company, he hung up on me.  Must be a scam artist looking for bank acct info or other.

In response to "You're all retarded"  I'm a "gatekeeper" aka receptionist.  And it is my job to screen calls that's what I get paid to do.  My boss would go through the roof if I passed on every sales call that came in for him.  I happen to like my job and don't like being disrepected by your use of the  word b***h to describe my personality for doing my job.  You come across as very uneducated and rude and if you found this company's services useful then good for you, but don't be rude to those don't see the need for them.

GW equity has a number of functions. They operate primarily out of a call center in Dallas. They are a legitimate company and not telemarketers (however, they act like telemarketers sometimes).
I've been told they are an M&A firm, focusing on and operating with small and mid-sized businesses... as opposed to large corporate holdings.
You should treat them as any other "business" call rather than telemarketers.

it's funny to read the things posted on this when none of you have any clue what you're talking about. they don't do "mortgage financing" and certainly are not calling to "investigate your business" in any way. try having an open mind from time to time and listen to what these people have to say. I own a company and I went to one of their informational meetings about exit planning and came away very pleased. i felt that it was an excellent use of time and they never asked me for a dime.

oh and a message to gatekeepers AKA receptionists: SHUT UP AND DO YOUR JOB. TAKE THE MESSAGE, AND PASS IT ON. your job is to answer the phone. no one cares what you think about who is on the other end. if your simply an unpleasant person with nothing better to do that post anyone and everyone on this site, and are quite frankly just a bi***, then find a new job because you obviously hate the one you have.

I got a call from bob 972 481 2800  and a call from a joy carter 1-972-481-2954 at this number.  I am wondering if they are hired from someone on the outside to investigate you business for other purposes unknown to me

Got a call at 6:35 this morning asking for a business. I told them another number. Then remembering that it might be for a business that I had years ago I dialed *69 and this phone number came up. I tried to redial the number and the phone system said their redial system could not handle the call....sounds like the phone company cant even control them.

They called my personal cell phone while I was on another personal call. I did not know the number and listing said name unknown so I googled your site and now am glad I did not waste my time answering call.

Called and asked for the president of our company who is out of the office. Then asked for CFO by name. I politely asked who was calling and he identified his company as Generational Equities. Our CFO declined the call--no idea who he was or what it was until we looked here. I told the guy his call had been declined and he became upset, rude and hung up on me mumbling something I couldn't understand. Pretty sure the last thing he heard was my laughter.

Made the mistake of answering this call which came up as TEXAS on caller ID. I was expecting a call from a Texas based company this morning. Sounded like an out-of-work radio guy asking for me by name. Gave me his name and said he was calling from Generational Wealth or some such scammy name. I told him not to call again. Will report as a DNC violation...again...

The lady called and wouldn't give me any information to see if she could speak with the owner.  I told her he wasn't interested and hung up as she would not give me info.  She then called back and said I had no right making that decision for my boss and that she threatened my job.  Where do these people get off?

Called up asked to speak to a person who does not came in and I told him that and I said that I had another call coming in and hang up. He called me back and told me that I was rude and He did not once identify who he was on both calls. He asked for my mon we have a family owned bussiness that my brother and I run since my dad has past away.So instead of asking for my dad they ask for our mom so we know it is a teleamarkter. I was able to *69 it.

You can hear the boiler-room in the background and they even have a fakey script which says something that sounds as if they have a clue about your business (even though they get it wrong). To top it off, they marked the voicemail as "urgent" as if it were some personal emergency.
