Do not take this job unless you are absolutely desperate.  Go to Wal-mart.  At least the pay is better, you can go the bathroom when necessary, and no one yells " Let's get it up gentlemen" all the time. If the group is not making the "sales" everyone is forced to stand and work as punishment until the numbers are "up". This place plays on people who have a hard time getting a job elsewhere due to past mistakes, or people who have fallen on hard times.  Two of the :management team" (I use the term loosely), are convicted pedophiles.  My understanding is under the terms of most sexual offenders probation or parole, they are not to work within so many feet of women.  They are also very sexist in their approach and treatment of women.  WHY are they allowed to stay in business is a mystery to me.  They violate so many state mandated laws of employment. They called my house also, same number and its registered as Do Not Call.

Called my house and asked for my mother by her first name only (no last name).  When I told them she wasnt there, they hung up quickly without even saying goodbye.  Seem like telemarketers even though we are on the do not call list... and also seem very rude too for hanging up right in my ear.

They called again, this time under the name of PUBLIC AWARENESS, but I wasnt home.  They left no message.  You'd think that with a name like PUBLIC AWARENESS, they would want to keep the public aware whether or not they were home.
Just don't answer to these people I guess.

When I answered they claimed to be calling on behalf of State Trooper's families in case of accidental death, and such.  They register as not-for-profit which is why they still are able to call those on the DNC list.  I'm pretty sure this is a scam.

they called my house on 6/12/08 @ 12:29PM. I have registered for Do NOt Call and this seems to be a telemarker that was calling my house.

WE JUST HOLD A PHONE TO OUR EARS ALL DAY LONG FROM 12PM-9PM AND GIVE YOU OUR SPEECH. WE HAVE A BOOK THAT HAS THE MOST COMMON REFUSALS AND EACH ONE OF THEM HAVE PRE-WRITTEN COMEBACKS. WE HAVE TO FIND THE STATEMENT OR QUESTION YOU JUST ASKED US AND READ WORD FOR WORD WHAT IS WRITTEN AS OUR ANSWER. AS FOR GETTING MULTIPLE CALLS. I work for public appeal/statewide appeal. Its really annoying to see things like this because all we are trying to do is make a living off s****y pay and rude people.When all you here all day is rudeness and your boss bitching at you because people dont want to donate then you loose your job,house,and etc.. So try not to be rude to us yeah some of us are ignorant or what not but some of us are just trying to get by...

I used to work for State Wide and honestly it was a horrible job.
All day long you get yelled at by people for calling them at random times of the day.
Its impossible to ever get people to say they are interested, which is perfectly understandable for them, but your job requires you to make a total amount of sales a day!

During training you are told not to take any excuses, such as:
A senior
A single mother
or even
some one with CANCER!!

We are told to just assume they can make a donation No Matter What.
I would offten get introuble for telling some one "Sorry" after hearing there tragic stories.

The auto dialer is horrible because atleast 2 a day you will end up calling 911 or a fire station.

The hardest thing is taht people assume its YOUR fault when all you did was take a shity job to support your family

these creeps called me three times. i would pick up the phone and not say anything. then the forth time i picked it up and said hello in a really high pitched voice like a child and they immediately hung up on me. I have gotten many calls from them in the past but i had not remembered the phone number. but can't the organization they are allegedly raising money for be called to let them know what a hostile agency they are? They ruin a persons attitude about "law enforcement". They have been rude and hostile to me in the past.

Now for something a lot more disappointing. I just reported my first violation to the do not call registry and they say on their site when you file the complaint that they do not do a friggin thing to violators, but that your complaint will be reported to law enforcement and might (just might) be used on some prosecution if it were to take place but there is no promise or law to assure that a damn thing will get done. NO WONDER they don't give a cr*p about whether they call and bother us night and day or not. they don't get prosecuted for doing it. ay comments on that would be appreciated. Sorry y'all are having to go thru this as well. good luck with getting these obnoxious telemarketers.

someone calls for TSTA. they ask as if i owe them money.  i have asked TSTA to remove me from calling list but i keep getting calls.

Just got a call from this number.  Nobody spoke and then it disconnected.

called  wanting me to donate to the texas state troopers, remebering something about a scam while back and the state troopes i told him he would need to send me something in writing, he started to say well......thats when i hung up. looks like a scam, smells like a scam, its a scam

Do what MK suggests call the 800 listed and the extension if the state troopers have employed a telemarketing group to raise money for them under the Name of Public Awareness...tell them if they donot remove your number immediately you will take legal action...and sue them for the harassing unauthorized telemarketing calls...be sure and tell them you have gotten frequent calls and they are not stopping...

If it gets worse...for some reason sign up for a VOIP service and get a new wireless phone...you can do call blocking from the network based on numbers and jokers like these that don't get the message...most VOIP services offer number exiting number portability but check with the provider.....to make sure your number transfers...since i did that i can block these morons left and right...i even have on-line call records that show who are the worst telemarketing offenders...gotten so many now that I have a directory of numbers created...by the worst of the bunch

Received calls everyday for at least 2 weeks.  Call immediately hangs up when I answer.
