Well, here is another one for you!  MJ Lowrie or Magdaleno Lowrie contacted me first 10/15/12 with the identical sob stores as above. Said he was 63 and when I asked him for photos and the two photos he sent (both from a hiking trip) he did not look a day over 45.  

He was contemplating how it would be when we met, "would there be fireworks and balloons in the sky?" His English was
impeccable which I understand  is totally different from some of the other e-mails I read about him. He wrote as though we already had a romantic relationship established.

I knew something was way off. When I said I don't correspond with men that I cannot meet in person, he said he was scheduled to be in my city on 10/26/12 and wanted to meet over that weekend; however he sent an e-mail a couple of days later saying he had been very stressed with 2 days Pavilion International Investment meetings and then the flu hit him as a ton of brick and he had been sick for the next three days. He never asked for money but I figured that was what he was leading up to next.  I stopped responding to his e-mails.

Just got message from him on Christian mingle pleading that I contact him before his site expires tomorrow. Gave me his email. Thank god I have enough sense to see through this BS. I don't know what he's about but he's out there and I'm not buying into any of it

I got this same exact letter this morning from an Edwin Conti. When I Googled name this site came up.   I notified Match.com of scam and they will investigate.  I never e-mailed him off match site.  The daughter registering him and him not looking at website until day it was to expire sent a red flag up to me.  Thanks for posting these notes.   Saved me alot of aggrevation.   Keep up the good work all you ladies !!!

Met him on Match.Com just last week.Well ladies he has a new name now. It's Edwin Conti. Same story about wife dying 10 years ago wanting to be happy again. Educated in Germany, with Masters in Scotland. Works for Pavilion Investment International in Fresno. Has wonderful pictures with a cute dog. He says his daughter registered him on the site. I thought it was strange also with the supposed Masters but he has terrible grammar. What a jack***!

I received the same email about a week ago. Pleading with me to email him because he was going off site the next day. He is now using the nam Edwin Conti. I don't know if that is his full last name. Same thing born in Italy stayed there until he was six then went to Germany at 16. What a jerk they need to get him off Match.com before someone else gets scammed.

OMG the exact same e-mail, only the name is Edwin Conti.  Have only corresponded twice, but knew the English wasn't right for an "educated" person.  Will block him!

New just started 6/2013 but I was scammed by Madgelano also as I posted previously now I have a new name that I can't find any info about different story but same bull can anyone tell me if they have heard from anyone going by the name of SFC_Tobin at yahoo. Has called me and uses two different phone numbers one to text me by and one to call has a slight accent. Please respond if you know anything supposedly going with his troops to Lybia today. This is very scarry...

Hi he asked me for $26000.oo which he didn't get Then I told him I new he was a scammer, and havn't heard from him since, that was in February.  Everything he says is a lie, so don't believe anything he says.

Please don't send this man any money, He is part of an interntional scammers ring, I think they are probly out of New York i got hit by this ring, thank goodness I recognized it for what it was.  There is a web site to complain, IC3 part of the FBI , but I think they will only investigate if money is involved.

Fortunately I didn't give him any money, but wrote him a scathing e-mail and told him I knew he was a scammer.  I haven't herd from him since.

This is not one person conducting a scam. It is a group of men in Nigeria for the most part. They use many names, photos from who knows where. On many dating sites. I've encountered quite a few of them. Have sent no money. Stories are all the same. I met this man on a match.com, I believe he is a scammer. It has been going on for over 2 months, says he worked for Pavilion Investment International out of Kent, United Kingdom. He has gotten some money out of me, but I am worried he may have access to money when he said he sold his shares at Pavilion and put them in my name. I am contacting Pavilion tomorrow to see if this man ever existed.

oh my gosh ladies, this has been going on with david forbes and i for 2and 1/2 months. I am writing Pavilion tonight about their senior fund manager who says he has resigned. I got the same email, I got more involved into it because I fell for it. he is in england now, or London, his pictures were of a well dressed middle aged man with his daughter, and speaking at a conference. there were two pics of that.
can anyone tell me or give me advice , he has said he sold his shares at Pavilion, they are in my name at a bank in spain which I have access to, they are in my name. I need some help with this
