calls me and then makes me hang on and says that someone will assist me but are busy

Call came in on my cell phone 9:33 am 2/7/08.  No message.  I don't answer numbers I don't recognize.

I have NO idea who this is. I got it on my cell phone, but I'm NEVER there to pick it up. It's done it twice now.

These people keep calling for the same person, that doesn't live here. We just changed our number. Along with a few other companies that call for her, I think it's a debt collector. I have told me to take them off the list, it will take 48-72 hours. They asked me for my personal information; name, address and email but don't give it out. They aren't looking for you so why do they need it?

Got a call from 972-546-1547 on my cellphone. I do not answer calls from unknown numbers.  Did not leave a message.

they stalk capital one customers under various numbers from different states , unknown caller id etc... everyone should just not pay capital one and put them out of business as they are just loan sharks preying on consumers act like they are helping you but only put you down further

To confirm, Yes 972-546-1547 does belong to NCO and yes NCO IS a collection agency. They will ask you for personal information because when you say that you are not who they are looking for they think you are lying. Do not provide them with any other information other than your full name which they can match to your phone account and verify the owner (name) of the phone number is not who they are looking for. Ask them to take you off of there contact sheet (they will tell you it takes 48 hours) If they continue to call give them the name and number of your attorney and ask them to call and verify that you are not who they are looking for and to get acquainted with the people who will be suing them if they do not stop calling. This generally resolves the issue.

Remember they are trying to collect from some dead beat who owes them money not you. If that is you thanks for using my number, you suck.

As far as Capitol One goes...the next time someone asks, what do you have in your wallet? I hope the answer is not Capitol One, they also suck. They will even break the law if they can get away with it...you can't afford to fight their legal staff.

got the call at 7:30 on a Friday night. The message was from a Matt saying he can save me $249 a month with discover card.

972 546 1547 is another # for a collection agency of Capital One.  First I had to deal with the idiots at a
1-800 # for 2 weeks, now this # starts calling. No matter how many times I told them I didn't have a Capitol One credit card nor knew the person they were looking for they continue to call. Only in America.  lol

I don't have a Capital One account and I get several calls a week.  I called and asked them not to call and they still do it.

we just got this # through roadrunner. we don't even have a capital one account and this # is private. what do they do. have a computer that generate's multiple #'s

So, if you pay, do they continue to call you for 6 months or do they quit when you are caught up?

This is from NCO Collections.They are a pre-collectiton agency from Capital One.  If you have been late on a payment in the last 6 months, they call to remind you that you have a payment due or are late. It sounds like they are from India or another company.  The only thing you can do to stop it is to pay Capital One on time and they will stop calling every month after about 6 months, or call Capital One and make payment arrangements.

I got a call from this number today and spoke with a person on the other end. They asked for an Asian person whose name I did not know and hadn't heard about before. I have been receiving numerous collection calls for Asian persons on my new car phone. I asked how the name was spelled and told the lady who called that I had just gotten the phone and did not know the person. She said she would take the number off their list acknowledging that it was a wrong number. Since I am receiving numerous calls from this same organization at various numbers, I doubt it. I filed criminal complaints with the Virginia Atty .Gen about Capital One calling me and again with CA Atty Gen. Capital One has stopped calling but they have referred their calling to this organization.

Received a call and hang up. Nobody identified themselves although I am certain someone dialed my number. I tried to call back someone picked up but never spoke. Weird AND annoying!

NCO Financial

Got a call - said it was NCO.  They will harrass you to death.  Don't take calls from them.

Called this number back and got a message about a mailbox being full. No name was mentioned.
