I have only had one call from this number but my phone has been bombarded today with another seller.  I will in NO WAY, NO HOW answer ANY call that comes in without a name I recognize.  They get a second chance when my answering machine comes on and asks them to leave a message.  If I get no message then so long, farewell, that number will ONLY get my answering machine from here on out.  My friends and family have my cell number and if they need me they call that.  I rarely even go to look at the home phone to see who it is.  I'll look later and if I know them I will return the call.  I keep this home phone number for just that reason.  I do not give out my cell number so I use my home phone when someone asks for a number where I can be reached.

Why are the phone companies allowed to let these people DISPLAY whatever # they want to display. The phone companies across the country are allowing these companies to do this - what kind of kick back are the phone companies getting to allow this. 972-564-9240

I recevied a call about 1PM today from 972-564-9240.  When I said "hello" - there was a delay in answering.  The lady asked me "is Jeff there"?  I said who may I ask is calling?  She hung up.  DO NOT HANG UP ON ME!!!  I immediately called the number back and the message said the number was disconnected.

I hope someone is checking on these calls from this number and me typing all this info is not a scam too!!!!!!

I just got a call from him as well. He said you are making your payments but you are not paying the card off correct?

I asked him how he got my info and he became irate...He stated "what is so special about your information? What do you think I have?"

I told him to go "f*** himself". He kept calling back and each time I would let it ring one more ring tone, I would answer and then I would hang up. He called me back 5 different times.

He had a Middle Eastern accent.

Just got the same call from the man with the heavy accent.  He asked for my husband and when I said he was not in, he just said fine and hung up.  I tried to call the number back (which showed on the caller id as "unavailable") and I got a message saying it was disconnected.  I am about to report it to the FTC right now!

Received a call from a nasty and vulgar man with a heavy accent.  He made a coment about some unknown credit card debt.  When I asked why he was calling, he called me an ignorant bi*** and hung up.

Just received a call from this guy - with heavy accent.  He asked to speak to me or my husband.  When I asked him what it was regarding, he said 'your credit card'.  I asked what about it, and he said, 'do you speak English?".  I said yes, again asked him what it was regarding, and he said 'F&&* You B**ch' and hung up.  UNBELIEVABLE!!!  How can we stop these calls?  I tried calling the number back and it said that it is disconnected.  THe call shows as coming in from Forney, TX.  I'm going to report it now to Brighthouse.

I have received the call twice today.  the man spoke with an accent & said you owe more than $8,000 in credit card debit..... Before he could say anything else I told him if he wanted to speak to my husband about making an arrangement he could be reached at work then I gave him the phone number for the local police.  lol

Received a call from this number, identified on the caller id as "Forney TX".  The woman asked for my wife by name, and said she was calling from "Consumer Financials, a debt elimination company".  She tried to do the exact same friendly chat routine, but my wife was having none of it.  They asked  "So you have more than $8000 in debt?"  and my wife demanded to know how they got our financial information.  They backpeddled, and said oh, they didn't have our file, they just were doing research in our area.  My wife told her to remove us from their list, and the woman hung up without a response.

Tried calling their number from the caller id back...and it was disconnected.  I wouldn't recommend anyone give them the time of day, let alone financial info.

Where are all these scammers coming from?  I am receiving 2 or 3 of these calls a day to our home phone.  We have decided to cancel our land line and just use our cells.  The only calls we receive on our home phones are scammer0 !!!

this was a good one!! A man with an accent called from this number asking by name for me or my husband.  I said I was her and he proceeded to ask how may day was-making friendly chit-chat-then says " so you pay all your credit cards, you are not behind right?"  He had no answer, just repeated the question.  He stated he was from American Company.  I said that I do not recall ever having business with that company.  He gets angry and asks me if he said I ever DID business with the company??? I hung up.  I looked up this number on line and it comes back as Jack's Quick Stop in Forney, TX!!!  When I redialed the number I got the recording that says number is disconnected.  SCAMMERS!
