This Dean Sterling called my mother who is 65 yrs. old and scared her half to death with a lie, that they were going to issue a warrant for her arrest if she didn't resolve the debt before 3 pm. My mother suffers from high blood pressure which she has trouble controlling it even with meds. Can you imagine what this scam did to her? She was feeling ill all afternoon because of this. My mother who is a volunteer with our local Police Dept. called to the police station and told them about the call. They said it was probably a scam and that there was nothing they could about it. I guess our loved ones have to die from a heart attack because of scams like these, maybe then we will be able to do something! I'll sue them if something happens to my mother because of their threats!!! Does anyone know what we can do about this?

He is calling me doing the same thing. Said a warrant will be issued for my arrest today if an old debt is not taken care of. He has called every person I know as well threatening the same thing. Says he's an attorney but oddly does not come up in the state bar of texas attorney search. Does anyone know anything about this/him??

This lady just call me and said she was attorney calling on the behalf my cash now and said that own them money and that they issue warrant for arrested today, but I told I did not take any loan out with this company at.She also has all my information and dont see how they got it

A Creighton by the name of Dean Sterling called my mother of 76 years.  After verifying her identity, he went on to explain that she had an outstanding debt of 250 dollars, but with penalties and other fees, it had increased to 875.  After several unsuccessful attempts, to get money from my mother...This Dean then told her that if half of what was owed was not paid, he was going to get the local sheriffs department involved and have a felony warrant issued.  Needless to say when my mother heard this, she became frantic.

They provided an out of court settlement with my brother to vacate the charges for a worthless check. Thank God. It is almost cleared.

This sounds like it was wriiten by the people running the sam.

This is legal mediation.  I had to google their number to get ahold of my attorney today. I had an acutual complaint sent to their office.  They were very nice to do mediation outside of court so that I did not go to court.  I recevied a 15 day statutory letter advised criminal charges were being filed after I talked to the attorney, my mail was sent to old address.  I knew that the check did not clear but did not have the finances when it was due and then forgot about this.  The mediation was an option to settle out of court or go to court.  I was given an option...  I was then provided all the paperwork that I needed.  They not only gave me the documentation before my card was processed, they also gave me a receipt, and then also letter advising all charges were dropped.  They were very nice and fair to me.

I got a call from that same law office today with the same threat. What ever happened in your case? They are calling me about a pay day loan that I took care off over 4 years ago! Nonsense!!!

So-called lawyer called from this # and claimed that I had an outstanding debt from "My Cash Now" from 2010. I told her that company didn't sound familiar to me. She proceeded to tell me that an arrest warrant was going to be issued today, it was for a felony, etc.
Needless to say, I told her to do what she had to do. I asked for written verification on this debt and her reply was "It's too late for that"! I guess I'll wait for them to come arrest me. NOT!!!!!!!
