I received the card, too, after just buying a home. If they are this deceitful just trying to get your business, you know they would only be more deceitful after they got it. Mine was "Mrs. Carter" and went straight in the trash w/o making the call.

They are a water purification company (Rainsoft). They'll probably eventually try to sell you their products, but when I called they said it was just for an introduction. We'll see.

Received same post card today in mail, after purchasing our new house in Fort Worth. Thanks for sharing the stories. Otherwise I should have called Mrs. Carter and got the "welcome gift" :)

I just got this same stupid card in the mail. How ridiculous! It probably has to do with people buying a home and the mortgage company selling info... Sounds like we all just moved and the recieved this card. What a joke!

You're lucky. You DO NOT want these crooks casing your house while they try to sell you overpriced junk.

I called this place and they said since I was a first time home buyer they would come out and check my water for free. They said they also provide a gift of either $500 dollars in coupons or a free 2- day trip anywhere in the US. I set up the appointment for the next day in the evening for 8-9 pm. They said both residents needed to be present. Well they never showed up! I called their office and the voice message only states "Mrs. Carter, leave a message." I left a message stating no one called or showed up for the appointment and we waited around the house for this. I have yet to hear back from this so called company.

Same postcard as the previous person. Some place called Envirotech International in grand prairie. I also did not bother calling back.

Same- card saying call for free gift, can only hold limited time immediately after moving in. Phone # belongs to envirotech, who according to the BBB is in the water filter business.

I received a Post Card in the mail from them that says, "We have recently been trying to contact you regarding your welcome gift. Since we were unable to reach you by phone we will be able to hold it for only a limited time. Please call Mrs. Carter metro (972) 647-4732"
It is likely that this is simply a way to get you in contact with them so that they can sell something to you. I have not called them, but it is probably a timeshare or services of some kind. Could be anything. The funny thing is, I know if it is worth buying a persons services by the way that they make the offer to me. If they are initially trying to discuss the quality and value of their services, I will probably bite to learn more. If they just try to trick me into a gift-scheme with cold calls and post cards, I can only come to the conclusion that they and their services are worthless.
NO SALE!!!

I also received a post card today. I called them because I wanted to know what it was and to remove my name. It is a sales thing. They offered a 3 night vacation if I paid for something. There were 3 options for "gifts" but I asked to be removed from their list and hung up after the first one.

Received the post card as well. That's my guess as well.

I just moved. I got a postcard saying they wanted to give a welcome gift and to call that number to get the gift. Of course the card added it is a limited time offer. This most likely is a sales pitch.
