Some guy with an indian accent was trying to tell me I had some kind of problem with my windows update. I knew it was a scam so I told him I put a curse on him and his family and hung up. He called back 3 times so far right after and I did not answer. Guess I have to have that number blocked now. I normally don't answer unknown numbers that call but I thought the call was from someone else. I hope this does not put me on a list where I get even more of these calls.

I got a call from 972-728-0074 on May 20, 2014. This guy is from India, speaks Hindi well.
He said he is Windows Support and wanted me to log on to my computer. I asked him what
kind of scam is this. He got so upset that he started using racial slurs, ugly language, and on
and on. Don't ever entertain his calls.

Got  a call this morning from random phone number, clue number 1. Guy had heavy indian accent, clue number 2. Said they were getting malware links from my windows 7 computer(which i have a windows 8)...clue number 3. From there, he asked me to log into my key registry and then go to some website to run their program which allows for remote access to to my computer...uh, wtf, clue number 4 and the last one before I told him that:

I'm sorry, but you called me to saying that you're microsoft and worried about my computer being at risk. Shiiit, really. Microst really cares that much about me? Please.  I then asked him to provide me with an actual microsoft e-mail address, an error issue control number, and a 1-800-number that I could call to reference this issue.

He hung up.  Consumer beware.....but unfortunatley people are DIRTBAGS!  Hope this review helps.

Just received one of these Windows Support calls stating they received error messages saying my updates weren't updating. What kind of Windows Product did I have? I couldn't believe that Windows would possibly follow up like this especially after dropping support to XP.

WHAT kind of call was this?? Do you know? :)

Very strong accented man said he was from Windows Technical Support.  I told him not to call my number again and then hung up.  Didn't give him a chance to say anything else.

Got a call from 972-728-0074 about Microsoft Services, asked who he was calling.  He gave me my mother's name.  I thought that was fantastic, she has been in Heaven for the past 20 years.  I didn't know that God was using computers up there and I told him so.  Also warned him not to call my number again.  He has an Indian accent.  I told him to remove my number from his list or things are going to get scary!

I use an app on my phone to block bad numbers and I checked the log and it has blocked this number 13 times since Jan 1.  Easiest way to deal with them.

Never answer this number but decided this time to listen. It's a recording saying they're not available now. I hung up. We've gotten so many calls from this same number I've lost count.  I wish something could be done to stop these calls.  They're such a rotten nuisance. I'm an older senior, physically handicapped, and I hate these nuisance callers.

Called as Windows Support. I kept him on the phone as long as i could, letting him think I was goin to his Widows Support Website. After he figured out I was just messing with him, he tried to threaten me that this is a professional call and I cannot play around. I called him a scammer, whch he claims not to be. He then called me back and said "I was a Mother Fu****"

If one actually follows their steps there is a site they want you to go to ammyy -dot-com.
One will see big red letters on the bottom ..
"Attention please read this before giving UNKNOWN access to your computer".  The first thing one gets when clicking on that is " If you receive a phone call claiming to be from 'Microsoft' or someone claiming to work on their behalf, telling you that you have a virus on your computer or some errors which they will help you to fix via Ammyy Admin, it is definitely a scam."
It's safe to follow instructions up to the point where one actually tells them the ID where they can jump in.  Ammyy it's self is a legit site and may be used for legit purposes.

I already knew that, and yes I messed with them.  Take as much time as possible
-  Oops I pressed the wrong key
-  There it is ..

One can actually follow  their steps to a point. I wasted 15 min of their time and then finally said "It says danger, major security risk" and hung up.
I love messing with them.  In another scam somebody calls you up saying one of those medical alert devices is already paid for, the first speaker is a recording but sounds like a real guy talking, cleverly scripted so you think it's a real person with a tone and cadence so one is not likely to interrupt the speaker.  Their psychology relies on you being a "nice guy".

When the real person came on I wasted tons of their time, use psychology against them, once they spend time with a "helpful" or "compliant" person they think they have a sucker and they don't want to move on.  I kept trying to get her back to the point that if the device was already paid for and a financial transaction was made please send me the money instead.  This stupid woman spent 20 min trying to explain it to me and I kept asking why the guy said the device was already paid for.

One should do this with care though, remember if they call you they have your phone  number, they will probably move on the the next potential victim, but if they want to be vindictive they do have your number.  I once let some fool give me his whole pitch for one "free" Branson vacation package after another, and in the end I told him I just got laid off and  didn't have enough money for the meals at the restaurant.   the guy kept making hang-up calls for about an hour to get back at me, after the 2nd one I turned the ringer off and let the answering machine get it.

Have any of you answered the call and just messed with them?  I ignore these calls all the time, never answer them but I am in a feisty mood and I feel like messing with them... leading them on and making them think I am some kind of idiot by pretending to follow their steps (probably can go so far before they ask for personal information)!  haha!

There is nothing you can do about these calls... they call from another country.  Telling them to add you to the "do not call list" is useless.  They'll keep calling from various numbers at all hours of the day.  Changing your number doesn't help because they randomly dial phone numbers and know that they are working numbers so they continue to call it.  I am sure they have some computer that dials active US numbers for them.

Called me as well, so I wasted as much of their time as possible before hanging up.
Of course they called back to "no answer" right away.  Waste their time if possible
otherwise not much to do (I'm sure the authorities are informed but they're overseas)

They want to take you to the ammyy admin site, that's OK it's self but don't start the service (after download) and give them control of your computer.
They asked if I did online banking as if that might be causing the errors.  How stupid do they think people are?
But I guess it only takes one every now and then and their crime pays off.

I love these windows tech support calls. I was a network administrator for 11 years before I changed professions so I let them go on and just screw with them and tell them I'm doing what they say till I get bored with them and then inform them I don't even have a windows computer in my house and only have Macs. They don't know what to say and just hang up.  So fun to screw with them and waste their time. I think my record is about 35 min.

US Pharmacy keeps calling from different area codes/telephone numbers.  They solicit sales of prescription drugs without a prescription--probably from Mexico.  All callers have Hispanic accents.

They are relentless.  I have no idea how they got my number, but they have several numbers that they are calling from.  All peddling the same wares.  Most caller IDs say it is a Texas number, but I have gotten some that are from PA and one even had a person's name as the caller.  All are a foreign speaking person with a lot of background noise (sounds like a shop full of them calling).  Nothing gets them to stop...."please remove me from your calling list" has advanced to me screaming "leave me alone" in their ear.  I block the calls, but the new ones keep coming.  Not sure how to get it to stop.  I know I can yell pretty loud into their ear.  At least that makes me feel a little better.
