I got life insurance fax from them and no unsubscribe number except that donotfax site. I don't have any trust in those either - it could bw sold by some crook to all the screwballs to inundate me with their crap. Gotta grit my teeth with this one...

The 972-759-9750 is the only contact information on this unsolicited fax. The NationalDoNotFaxList.com is a website. I don't know if I would trust putting any information on it, as it might show as a request for more cruddy faxes.

I received a message during the middle of the night about cleaning supplies.  It said to respond to a fax number 201 537 0599.  Nowhere on the bottom of the page did it have a phone number which is illegal to do.  I also received various other faxes re: buying insurance, etc.  How can I get rid of them as it is very disturbing especially when it wakes me during the night like 2 a.m.

removemynumber.info is registered thru godaddy.com..more BS  their fax number is 480-624-2598 and email is removemynumber.info@domainbyproxy.com.  lets all use this email to they get tons of spam and also fax them sh*t. These people are scum. Godaddy lists their physical location as atlanta GA, but the billing as scottsdale AZ. Godaddy should do a better job at screening. we should jam godaddy as well.

I'd like to share the way I deal with unsolicited faxes.  If more people did this I think they might stop.
What I do is send a fax to the reply fax number listed (in this case 516-213-3447).
I set-up a 1 page in Word document that is totally black. You can do this with the Format command - choose Background and select the black color.
I then send 50 copies to the fax number.  I usually send it 4 or 6 times just before I go to bed since it will tie up my phone. I set the Subject as "Stop Unsolicited Faxes". Be sure to remove your fax ID and return number from your fax software set-up.
If those solicitors are using a standard fax, they find 200 or 300 ALL BLACK FAXES!  It wastes all their paper and uses up the maximum amount of ink or toner.  I love getting unsolicited faxes just so I can do this!!!
Please tell your friends!  Don't get mad - Get Even!!!

I got this same fax and the FCC, who governs unsolicited faxes, says they can't do anything with a complaint on this one because the sender is providing insufficient information.  I am very suspicious of the www.removemynumber.info website as it may be another method by which the sender captures your online information.  I contacted the FTC, who governs illegal websites, and have filed a complaint.  At this point you can only ignore these fraudulent faxes that are sent by unscrupulous people.  If this were a legitimate company, they would be proud to display their name and contact information.  Don't respond, unless you get some information that FCC or FTC can use to pursue a complaint.  If the fax has a valid "FROM" fax number  at the top and a "To remove your fax number... with a toll-free phone number" message at the bottom, this is a legitimate fax, and you can call that toll-free number and have your fax number removed from their list.  BEWARE of anything else!  good luck.

I know these postings are older but for anyone receiving them even now and thinking about going to the website the scammer provided, don't do that, go to the real government Do Not Call website, because all of the above are incorrect.  I am copying and pasting the link because I just finished registering all my numbers including my cell phone that receives alot of junk calls.  https://www.donotcall.gov It is simple and quick and then if these people continue to call, you have recourse.  By the way, there is also a "supposed" free reverse number lookup at the bottom of this forum along with a "supposed" form to fill out to remove your number and file a complaint, BOTH of which are scams themselves.  The reserve number lookup is NOT free, and the form below it goes to them, so don't go that route or you will end up with even more junk emails.  Good luck all! We'll never stop the scammers but we can sure make things harder for them. I don't know about you but I'm sick of buying ink for my fax machine that gets used up by all this crap!

I know not to respond to these leeches; you're preaching to the choir here. As for the government's usefulness, I'm just reporting a junk fax here. I don't engage in political debate over the internet.

These faxes in many case make these outlandish insurance claims so you will call the number. Then you find you are being charged 5.00 a minute on your phone bill. Never respond to one of these faxes even to ask them to stop. They will keep you on the line and run up your phone bill. The government, like everything else they are involved in, is useless.

Same scummy insurance sales folks as other reporters.  They have changed the phishing "rax removal" Web site to: www.removemynumber.info.  Getting sneakier -- they used GoDaddy's private registration to obscure their real identity.  Clearly not a legit operation or else they would make it easily known who runs that Web site.

If they send you an illegal fax, to a number on the national do not call list, and in my case at an illegal time of just after midnight, why would you trust them to tell the truth? Report this to the FCC at http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

The more people that file complaints the more likely this will stop.

Confirming that your fax number is real by registering with them is not a wise move. There is no national do not fax list. They're violating the very real national do not call list, do you think they really will stop?

Scam. Scam. Scam.

DO NOT register your fax numbers on nationaldonotfaxlist.org, or nationaldonotfaxlist.com.  THESE SITES ARE A SCAM.  Need proof?

If you go to http://www.whois.net/whois/.nationaldonotfaxlist.org you will see that the person who is registered to that site is "Don Johnson" of FL (obviously phony because he used the actor's name).  BUT, look at the email address listed, which is "adverfax@aol.com".  I did a search on that email address and came up with this "http://faxlistforsale.net/".  Yes, the same guy the SELLS YOUR FAX NUMBER TO OTHERS!.

Opt out of the junk faxes with real opt out telephone numbers, but keep the ones that do not.  Eventually you'll have enough that you can put together a quality lawsuit against one of these scumbags.

I got 3 of these faxes with that NationalDoNotFaxList site as the only way to opt out, which many claim on here is a bogus site.  So I googled and found this helpful link that lets you report these junk faxes and telemarketer calls to the FCC on-line.  I read that it's illegal for these companies to send you a fax if you've had no prior dealings with them and these companies can get hefty fines.  In order to file a claim, you have to be the person who's authorized to make changes on the fax account and you should have the date and time of when the fax was sent to you.

Here are the websites:
