Asked for the owner.  As always i asked name and company, if I dont know who it is I ask what it is regarding. His answer was our corporate project. I asked what project and he again said our corporate project. When callers are vague about what they are calling about they get dumped inVM.
Callers name was David Turner with the grand company.

I too just heard from Preston at Grand Energy. Thanks for all the posts. He's already called about 4 times this week. Same MO as all of you describe. Asking for the owner like they're best buddies. I'm looking forward to messing with him when he calls again on Monday!

I also received this pushy sales call trying to reach the boss. I had to be rude for him to realize im not answering his questions or passing him through.  Very rude and unprofessional.

Got a call today from 'Martin Erland' (sp?) from Grand Energy (though caller ID said Grand Companies). When I told him that he couldn't have my boss's voicemail (he relies on me for his messages) he said he'd call back when he could talk to my boss.  I told him he'd get put through to me no matter what and his response was "We'll see about that".  I told him "good luck" and he hung up.  Challenge accepted!

I dont know what he is selling but he's an idiot.  He hates for you to hang up on him and he will call you relentlessly from his cell phone if you do.  His cell phone has his name "preston harris" displayed.  The company he calls from has all kinds of sites boasting they are an investment firm and something to do with petroleum etc....   It's no doubt some kind of scam.  If he calls, make him mad.  It's very entertaining.

Thanks to all of you for the heads up.  Preston Harris just phoned, absolutely insisting that my boss knows him and would take the call.  I did not put the call through and will avoid him.  Any clue what he's trying to sell?

I unfortunately picked up a call from Preston at the 972 number, thinking it was from someone else. Started his pitch & I said no thanks & he had the hutspa to demand why NO.  I hung up at that point....he tried calling again from 972, then tried again 3 times from 214-384-4525.  Persistent fellow.

Preston Harris of Grand Companies called and said he was following up on a previous conversation he had with the owner. Owner says he never spoke with this guy in the first place. Gave a different call back number than the one he called from (214)384-4525. researched both numbers and Grand Energy kept coming up for this number. Also known as Grand Operating, Inc. Does he not know what his company's name is? Probably looking for investors.

This jack*** called earlier this week asking for the owner of the company, butchering his name in the process.  All calls like that get sent to his assistant.  He proceeded to piss her off royally so she hung up on him.  He called back a minute later and asked for the owner again so I transferred it to her again.  When she picked up he had the gall to say, "You didn't just hang up on me, did you?"  She told him she had and hung up on him again.  I've never seen her that mad at anyone trying to peddle anything and she actually came and told me the next time he calls to hang up on him!  So when he called again today, that's exactly what I did!

Very unprofessional.  Caller was Preston from Grand Energy.  Would not take "no" for an answer then insulted me by saying I was unprofessional by not wanting to continue his call.

Preston Harris should be avoided!
