Put the blame where it really lay's, with the criminals and illegal telemarketers.
The DNC works just fine. It is for telemarketers only and honest business does indeed abide by it. It is the criminals (which includes illegal telemarketers), frauds and scammers that do not. However, the Fed. DNC does not cover some survey's, Political or Charities.  You would need to check your states DNC laws to see if these are under your states DNC laws.  The fact remains that they are not automatic call blockers though and can not protect you from the calls that are criminal, illegal or fraudulent.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Laughing in background.. Many voices soliciting conversations.   ..  I said hello twice and the caller hung up.    Hate these calls, esp from local area codes.   Why does the do not call list NOT WORK ??  

Answered this # this morning, thinking it was a friends new #. The guy asked for me or my husband by our last name? I said you have the wrong #.  He continued his spiel re: carpet cleaning, air duct cleaning special this weekend on our street?! He got our street correct, then told him, not interested and hung up. Blocked #. You could hear laughing and lots of noise in back ground. Very strange he knew our street and last name! Never told him he had the correct people. Damn scumb bag scammers! HUGE RED FLAG when they were only "offering our street a special this weekend!" We too have several "specials" should they come knocking!! Sick of these scammers! Our # is unlisted, the "DNC" list is a joke!!

When I asked them to take my name off their call list they just hung up.

I answered this one day as it was a local number and I thought it might be one of my kids.  They told me their spiel, I told them i wasn't interested, but they continue to call.  I recognize the number now so I don't answer it but every day, they call.

No Answer, No Message, 2nd Call, likely Telemarketing.

I received a call from 972-963-0929 and the guys asked if I needed air conditioning services and I told him not at this time then he said cursed saying "I don't need all this sh_t" this morning and hung up.  What a jerk!

they are telemarketers, I answerered and you could hear all these people in the background laughing...if you call it back it says "the person you are calling cannot accept calls at this time, we are sorry for any inconveniece this may call"  

A man called from 972 963-0929 cussed at me and hung up. I do not know this number of caller and know of no reason for someone to do this.

They have called twice in three days, no message left. Has to be a scam telemarketer.
