I also pressed 1 for them to stop calling... weeks ago.  Very sorry to tell you...they don't.  They're still calling.
We just try to ignore it.  Sometimes we pick it up then hang right up to stop it ringing.  It's a pain in the neck!

CTC Communications Corp is listed at 165 Halsey St. Newark NJ 07102, 973-621-7642. A site lists their website as qwest.com. Good luck, these idiots just called me. I did not speak to anyone yet, but I will use this info if they do.

Company is EngageTel registered under a shell corp in Cheyenne, WY.  True identity of owner is Dennis Carlson, President EngageTel, P.O. Box 5635, Novato, CA  415-472-5008.  Everytime they call make sure to file a complaint with the FCC.  Also insist on a police incidence report and ask your service provider to trace the calls and add to the file.     Small claims court damages $500 for each call.  They call multiple time a day and hang up.

I've been getting these as well all of a sudden also saying on caller ID "Winter Savings".

This number calls both my cell and my husband's cell phone and any attempt to be placed on their do not call list is uneffective because they still keep calling.  They hang up when I actually get a real person, and when I call back the only message states to press 1 to be placed on the do not call list which will take effect within 24 hours - and that is also a lie.  Please help stop this caller.  Thank you.

I keep getting the same calls but when you answer there is no one there or they hang up. It is annoying.

These bunch of no goods will not get me. Every time they call I block them. They are using the following numbers...(973) 273-7858, 7853, 7852, 7854, 7864, 7856 and who knows how many others. Why doesn't the FCC stop these jerks?

I get five-six calls a day from 973-273-7858 and 7852.  I just filed a complaint on the National Do Not Call Registry.  It's true, if you stay on the line and get a real person, they hang up on you when you ask them to take you off the list.  Calling back and hitting the "1" to be taken off the call list hasn't worked for me.

Hopefully if others do the same, we can stop the madness!!

This number can be traced back to CTC Communications Corp in Newark, NJ.  I am in the same boat but did some investigating.  I added their number to National Do Not Call to see if it works.  Funny thing, right after Winter Savings Called, another number called in (973-273-7852) Assistant Apprv.  Number look up came from same CTC Communications Corp.  Very annoying.

I have blocked 2 different numbers ,well what happened today I got a call from yet another number! this is terrible even blocking the call won't help they have many more to bother you with!! These numbers show up on my caller Id as Newark!

I keep getting calls from 973-273-7858,  7861,7862 and 7851.   It also says  Winter Savigs, Holiday Rebate, Bill Rebat, Fed Asssist and Unavailable all for the same number.  It has to be a spam. Do you know what it could be?

It doesn't work. You can report them to the FTC and the calls will continue. Put them on www.donotcall.gov and you are wasting your time.

3 Calls from this number today.  Comes up as "Winter Savings" when it's not listed with the 1 in front of the number on called ID.  I'm sure if I looked through my caller ID i'd see more.  Have never answered but I'm sure it's not a call I really care to answer anyhow

They call up to 8 times a day on multiple consecutive numbers.  10 attempts to get on the do not call list by pressing 1 and by calling them have failed.  This is nuts.

They call multiple times, sometimes within seconds after the first call. I never pick up, never will. Isn't this the scam that has been around a while? They try with all different numbers.

I am getting 5 to six call a day from this marketing company.  Requests to get on their DNC list have been unsuccessful and I actually think that they're probably selling my inforation to someone else.  Please help

Same here, been going on for awhile couple times away, I called there number back to try to get them to stop calling, after you dial they say "if you want to be removed from our call list press 1, it'll take up to 24 hours to work" I just did it so we will see.

Everyday I receive a call telling me I qualify for a reduction on my Atlantic City electric bill. I do not even have Atlantic city electric and when I tell them to remove my name they hang up and the calls continue. What do I do to stop the calls?
