Claimed to be an "Insurance company" looking for my husband.  Phone line was extremely static.  Hard to make out the person's name or what little they were saying.  Phone cut out after I said he wasn't home.   Caller ID said "NEWARK".  We're in New Jersey.

They claimed that they were an insurance company and then hung up.

As previously mentioned : called at 9:47 and again at 11:52.

I just received a call from Mark from Bankers Life and Casualty Company - possibly a Fillipino accent. All Claiming he was looking to fill "the possition the have available". Said no more information. I did hear a lot of noise in the back round - too noisy for a call center...

I received two calls and two voicemails. I had a resume online posted a year ago and have since deleted all my resume postings since i found a job and have not updated anything, don't know why they're calling now...

I also received call from Mark, did sound like Filipino. Wants to make an appointment with manager next Thursday April 29-2010. I told him my resume is not for banking ??? he said we will train + pay ???
I guess I should not pick up the call on next Wednesday he promised to call for the appointment.

I also got a call from a Mark / Marc Anthony regarding a job in Parsippany. I had posted my resume on Monster.com a couple days ago, and yesterday or the day before, received an e-mail from Bankers Life & Casualty Company (www.bankers.com) regarding a position. When I got the call today, the reception was really poor and I couldn't make out who the guy was or what company he was from until I asked for their website. The red flag was that it sounded like he was calling from a cafeteria or something, not an office environment. Plus the poor reception made it clear that it was from a cell phone and not an office phone. I'm not sure if this is a scam or not, but it was kind of sketchy.

Got a call from this number and also emails from the Bankers Trust. I am glad I looked up here before taking any further action. The guy was insisting that I call back since I told him the connection was bad. Surely a scam.

Received a call from this number earlier. The woman on the other end claimed to have gotten my resume online. The number was out of NJ according to the caller ID, but the woman stated that the opportunity was located in Middleboro, MA. The connection was horrible, and the woman was definitely reading off of a script. It also didn't help that her accent was almost incomprehensible. Anyway after telling the woman that I was uninterested she tried telling me to come in before making that decision. After telling her no again I hung up on her.

The phone connection is horrible.  Much of the woman's message was left off.  The man's connection was staticky.

Whenever you post your resume on line they get those resume information and begin the calls.  Everytime I make a modification to a resume online they begin to call.  Depending on the resume/career building site, you may be able to post the resume and select not to have contact made by agencies.  It doesn't matter who is calling the line connection is terrible.

i received this call today. from Bankers Life and Insurance company in Middleboro, MA. Recruiter was "Mark Anthony". I never applied to this position....

I am also a Massachusetts resident.  This person left a message on my machine saying that they got my resume from Yahoo Hot Jobs.  I think that it must be a cell phone number because the person was breaking up REALLY bad.  The area code is for NJ, but he said that the position is in Middleboro, MA.  ???

just got a call from this number, actually it was a missed call, as i don't know anybody with this number, i googled it & this is what i found, does indeed seem like a scam

I've gotten a call twice from them. The lady says her name is Christine and that its for a job in Parsipanny. I'm glad I looked this number up and found all these posts. Seems like it's a scam.

I got the same call from this number. They said they had received my resume, although, I have never sent one out.

I just got a call from them as well.  They said they were some kind of an investment banker whom came across my resume and would like to offer me a job.. I just told them I wasn't interest as I'm not planning to leave my currect job.
