If this is really about credit card rates or vacation shares, I've gotten many calls in the past from various numbers and "Caller ID's".

The stupid Caller ID said "Name Not Found."  No message.  Just one call so far.

Since it's East Coast based, I thought it could be one of the many numbers Portfolio Recovery uses.  They are a bottom feeder collection agency calling me for over 2 years, looking for someone else.  (I've gotten recordings from other companies who gave up after a few months.)  I never picked up these calls.

I get a lot of these unwanted or unknown calls.  "Toll Free Call", "Unknown Caller", "UUU" (whatever that is), etc.  I ignore anything I don't recognize or, when possible, hang up on them.  (That's what THEY do anyway)

Doesn't sound legit if the number can't be called or there's no company info when you call. (Automated greeting or something)

This seems to be a Robo-dialer, Spam credit card promotional sales call. If you answer the call, a recording tells you there's no problem with your card, but that you need to call them right away for a 'special offer' with an interest rate as low as 6%.  Hang up. Do not respond. Do not call them back.  Let's starve the creeps off our phone lines.

Answered call, but the person at the other end did not speak. After about 10 seconds, they hung up.  Call received at 11:08 am on 10-03-2013.  Caller ID said "ROXBURY TOWNSHI"

Just got a call from this # 973-584-1897 buut I didn't answer.. Damn telemarketers !!!

Received a recorded message concerning reducing my credit card rate. Advised you to dial 1 for an operator and 2 for no. I hit 1 but nothing happened. When you attempt to call back the line is busy. No company information is provided during the recorded message. I am going to the National Do Not Call website to report this number. This is a scam and against the law.

Just got a call from this number...no message left...busy on call back.
