They called me this morning around noon, and ws the same story everyone else had, being exportored to Dom Republic, didn't have a clue what they were talking about, Said cars were coming to get me, making it sound real as though he was talking to a dispatcher.  Contacted my attorney and he put an investigator on this, and also found this site.  Something has to be done with this type of thing.  It upset the whole day of business for no reason.

The number this one called me from was 732-973-7711, said his name was SA Giles, or SA Gibbs, or Geiss, he was not very clear, and would not answer any questions I had when I kept saying I don't know what you are talking about.

I received a call this morning from 732-993-7711 said his name was SA Giles or Geiss, not to easy to understand.  Said the same thing that everyone else is saying that I was being exported today, the cars were coming for me and I would have to face charges in the Dom Republic.  I did get an attorney, kept telling them I had no clue what they were talking about, but then tried to sound like he was on a radio dispatch to tell them to come get me now.  And to get a lawyer when I asked what am I supposed to do when I don't know what you are talking about, told me to get ready to leave and get an attorney.  These people are terrible, it was unreal, so everyone please let everyone you know about this. Wouldn't want them to deal with what I did today.  Good Luck to All!

Got this call from 732-993-9034 about an hour ago (1/26/2011). Caller stated he was from FDA and had info I had received drugs from the Dominican Republic and was investigating. I cut him off and told him to send me a letter as I would not discuss this on the phone. He stated he would send agents to my home to complete the investigation. He never asked my address (first clue this was a scam). I called back the number from my office phone and the person answering had a hispanic accent and said it was the USFDA. I hung up and googled the number and found this site. Thanks so much!

same as all the people listed above. At first I was totally caught off guard as I had made pharmaceutical purchases over the internet. He scared me to death. i really thought that I was in some kind of trouble. With the things that have happened in my life in the last 10 years I figured it could only be true. He was gonna call me back in thirty minutes to see how much of the $1,000.00 fine I could come up with right away. The thing that did it for me was when he said that it was important that I maintain complete confidentiality.Well
if the authorities are coming after me it cannot be much of a secret. I googled the number. Then I called it back to see how they answered because initially, I could not understand exactly who they were supposed to be. When I heard USFDA, I looked up the site and saw the scam warning. Those rotten B-------!! I was ready to pay something that day!! Not only that, my husband was home and all I could think of was that he was gonna kill me because I had done something wrong that I did not even know of!! I hope they get them and give them the maximum penalty! They also call from 732-993-9034, New Brunswick, NJ-herick.botello name on the caller ID.

Old Lt. Phil Serrano is at it again, this time listing his name as SCRRANO. Threatneing to send agents etc. Says if we didn't answer his qeustions he would have agents here to take the statements. Was getting more and more terse as the conversation went on. More threatening. But as I was googling his info as he was talking, absolutely nothing was real, including any reasons he would be calling.

Not so Gullible  reported Phil Serrano Calvin Jones Lucas from 973-707-8383 as a Scammer/Fraudster
Dec 1st 2010 - 2:44:39pm EST
I received a call from a man who identified himself as Lt. Phil Serrano from phone # 973-707-8338 today. He claimed that he was in investigator for the FDA and that I had been involved with a pharmacy in the Dominican Republic that has allegedly been importing liquid cocaine and heroin and that there was a warrant for my arrest (my crime sale and distribution of illegal drugs). He said that officers were already in position around my home and they were on their way. My two options were to pay a $3,000.00 fine immediately or be deported to the Dominican Republic today for a court date there tomorrow. All the while saying things like, youve got a spotless record and my job is to help you out just consider this a slap on the wrist, etc. Fortunately, I know that the DEA never makes calls to individuals trying to get money out of them. I told this guy that I was going to have to think about my options call him back. At that point he said he had no choice but to have me arrested by the officers in the area. Im still waiting. I immediately called the FDA to report this criminal activity. They confirmed that this was a scam, but because so many calls are coming in to the FDA about these frauds, they are only dealing with cases where individuals actually lost money. I was told that they will probably call back be persistent if they do call, to just hang up on them.

I too got a call, from a foreign sounding fellow, stating he was from the DEA and that there was a warrant there for my arrest, and he seemed anxious to get my money as well. When I asked his name, "jose something-or-other, he said, "I even gave you my badge number". He even gave me some date from 2007 when a package was supposedly confiscated in my name. He tried to tell me that there were DEA in my area,"watching my house" and "waiting to arrest me". Funny thing is, I went to HS with our town's Chief of Police and our next door neighbor is a stae trooper, I could be wrong, but, I think they would have let at least my husband know if there was anything like this going on for real. I thought the fellow's name was Jose, but I threw away the paper on which I wrote down what he told me. I explained I get all my medications through my local physician and pharmacy with insurance, and asked how there could possibly be a warrant for my arrest so something I did not order, did not paid for (this alledged package), from a company I'd never heard of.. I'd just lost a child on top of this, and this fact did not seem to bother him, as much as the urgency that I get back to the "Dominican Republic".  I'm glad to know I'm not the only one this has happened to, the incidence left and unsure who to contact, until I found this site. This had left me quite confused and baffled. Fortunately, we were disconnected, before he could press more, but when I tried to call the number from caller ID back, I got a message that the phone number had been disguised.  Thank you for sharing your experience.

A Mr. Phil Serrano called me claiming to be a representative of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) about a pharmaceutical law suit.  He stated that I would be arrested if I did not wire money, via Western Union, to an international location.  I called the REAL FDA office in Washington, D.C., and confirmed that no such person worked there, and that it was a scam!
