This company is a scam. They have an "F" rating from the BBB also they have an alternate business name which is Prime Access Management which according to the BBB is out of business but obviously they are NOT, they are still trying their mortgage scam. Called me and I have never had a mortgage ever! and they left no message.

American Hardship group is not a non-profit organization as they claim to be. They are a sister company to the corprate office for Prime Legal Plans. The role of the agents at american hardshiop group is to find thru public record of various states people who are facing foreclosure or have a sale date on their home. After several questions about your finances and the reason behind you falling behind in payments you meet the requirements to be enrolled in the Prime Legal Plans program now Prime Access Management. Depending on you income you are charged a " MEMBERSHIP FEE" of $595 or $750 which is deposited into a trust account thru Meracord. The trust account is a saftey net for the client and the company as the funds are not debited from your account until a service is provided. While enrolled in the program you are billed each month and provided wirh 3 reports which are supposed to be an investigation into your mortgage. They come from public record in your county and can be optained by anyone. Most states do not use these documents of showing any proof that you where affected by "FRAUD" by your mortgage company which is the angle used to sway people to join this program. Granted they have had successful outcomes with some clients getting loan modifications on their home but they tell the clients they LAW FIRM they are working with is getting them a restructure on their loan. BULL.... Restructure and loan modifications are the same thing but they will not tell you that. They have some very nice caring sweet people who work there as Account Managers who continue the idea that you are working with a "LAW FIRM" and a "LOCAL ATTORNEY" in your state who is working with the mortgage company on your behalf to prevent the bank from taking your home. Realistically the law firm is based out of New York and the have paralegals sending documents to the mortgage company only if all required documents are received for a loan modification. In most cases the best you will receive is a loan modification, which only depends on how far behind on your mortgage you are. If you have already applied or have had several loan modifications the bank will not be willing to do anything except make arrangements to take back the home because you defaulted on your loan. Paralegals request documents to send back and forth to the underwriter of the mortgage which most people have been doing for years. Your best bet is to continue with what you are doing if you are behind on your payments. Save your money and make some arrangements with the mortgage company to do cash for keys, a short sale, or try refinancing the home. Because giving away money when you can't be promised you will stay in your home is insane. The best thing to do is to stay in the home until you are told to leave by the sheriff. If the mortgage company is not willing to work with you having a paralegal do something you can do on your own is retarded.

Yes, they sound too helpful. It's a scam to get distressed borrowers to seek help and then after they get your money they do not help. They wanted me to pay $750 a month. If we had enough money to pay them we would not be the situation we are in. That is not helping people. It is disgraceful how businesses are scamming innocent people. If they wanted to help, we would not have to find money. Take the money and find your own attorney. Please beware.

This American Hardship Group called me and told me that they can give me legal represantation for mortgage reconstruction for $ 750 a month for how ever long it takes to get my mortgage back in good standings. But I am afraid they might be a company scamming money and wont do anything but steal money then disappear on me. Has anyone ever dealt with them before?

Repeated calls with no message so I called them back and they were looking for the person who lived at my address who behind on their payment. Essentially they take an address and find a phone that is linked to that address and start calling regardless of whether you are on a do not call list which I am.

I just called the number back - they are a company calling people who are behind on their mortgage or something else... I am not either and told them to remove me from their list.

973-718-7662 keeps calling my cell phone and leaves no message even tho they stay on the line long enough for my phone to say that there is a voice mail- I am on the do not call list so I don't understand why this is happening or who they are
