I got my first call from this number on my cell phone yesterday, 7/4/13, in the middle of the afternoon (seriously, on a national holiday to boot?!) and a second call from the same number today, 7/5/13, at 5:53pm...I keep on ignoring them, as I always do incoming calls from phone numbers I don't recognize, justifying my ignorance with the same logic I apply to any calls from unfamiliar numbers that I choose not to answer, the reasoning that :"if it's someone who really wants to talk to ME, someone I know who has a new number, or something important in any way, they'll leave a voicemail message with information and a callback number." Big surprise...no voicemail either time.  Shocking...not.

On a related side note, I find it hysterical and more than a bit ironic that the vast majority of unknown-number calls that've attempted to contact me over the years belong to collection agencies...people who aren't calling me by accident or to sell me something unwanted, but because they've been tasked with the duty to get me to pay off debt I owe to another place that's outsourced the dirty work to another place to escape doing it themselves...in short, PEOPLE WHOSE JOB IS TO GET ME TO GIVE THEM $$.  Given this fact combined with my propensity for continually ignoring all their call attempts because I'm unfamiliar with the number - something I do with ANY number I don't know across the board without prejudice - would lead any logical individual to conclude that the already-slim-to-nonexistant likelihood of getting any $$ from me anyway is made COMPLETELY impossible without actually ever SPEAKING to me about the situation whatsoever - now, you've tried calling me 100 times and I've ignored your calls 100 times, so wouldn't you think that MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, it's worth a try to at least leave a callback number or SOMETHING for me to even CONSIDER calling back on a voicemail message, even just ONCE???  That yeah, I probably still won't bother to call back, but at least you went that extra mile for your job and tried to leave me a fake-pleasant message with your phone number in a pathetic attempt to maybe "trick" me into calling your place so you can at last go for the kill and work on me for some $$ instead of spending the rest of your days calling a number that has never and will never answer you partially BECAUSE you can't be bothered to leave a voicemail or anything that even remotely suggests you give two sh*ts about ever getting your client a dime in the first place, as your idea of "trying hard" is gettin' all mad one rotten day and trying to beslick, calling me 3-4 times in a row in rapid succession (leaving no voicemails, of course) in hopes that I'll get so irate I'll finally just wave my white flag of surrender, answer your irritatingly repititious harrassment via telephone, and beg you to please just take all my income and apply it to my debts ASAP right this minute, you win, I give, calling me 4 times in 6 minutes did me in and your quirky brilliance and clever approach merits that I finally stop hoarding my gold coins in my gigantic money vault to admire and swim through luxuriously as I purposely choose to pay you nothing just because I feel like it as in reality I'm as rich as freaking Scrooge McDuck and and could easily afford to pay off EVERYONE I owe anything to if I wasn't such a penny-pinching selfish biotch who lives for incessant collection calls made by single-digit IQ morons so stupid they can't figure out that leaving a callback number on a voicemail every so often when people don't answer their calls MIGHT eventually result in SOME CALLS BACK, maybe even a few people setting up PAYMENT PLANS, if you try doing it enough times....UGH!  

Sorry about the excessively long rant, had to let it all out...but honestly guys, is it me??!  Am I the illogical one and they're all the genius masterminds??!  =( wtf. unreal.

Just got a call from this number too. Asked the only person I know that lives up around there and she had no clue either. Really was hoping for a random voicemail message...

All hang up calls.  Late night phone calls.  I tried to return the call once and the phone was picked up with no voice.  This is the third time.  Lame.

just got a call from 973-720-8573 from a woman.   Claimed she was calling from a bank.

I just received a call from 973-720-8573.  I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer it.  Now that I see that others are having the same issue I'll just keep on ignoring the caller.
