This number calls my house periodially and never leaves a message.

Again calls - no message left. As 800notes says, it's some Indian scam

I don't pick up on calls that hide behind a bunch of unknown this and unknown that.  Not worth the bother.  If they want money, they can work like the rest of us.

This phone keeps calling us every weekend without leaving any message.
So, we are tired of it and decided to call back.
Guest what, they don't want to give out any information expect to get more information from us.
They asked us about what is our phone number and reference number.
They do have inidan accent. We think they are someone try to get money from innocent people. We record the whole conversation and will reprot this phone to police and shut down their business soon.

I will follow up on LD's comments. That supervisor did indeed call a few minutes later. From a cell phone. My wife answered. The supervisor told her that they had talked to her husband "Frank" concerning a matter of a credit card still active. My wife informed him that the card had been cancelled 20 years ago and that Frank was dead. Both true. Frank passed away 5 years ago. (she has remarried) That threw the scammer for a loop. My wife informed him that any more calls to our phone would be turned over to the authorities and hung up. No calls today.
It seems the scammer is finding old credit ratings files and trying to use them against unsuspecting people. Well, not in my home.

Call is from Newark NJ. This place is making a pest of themselves calling approximately every 30 minutes. Caller refuses to leave message on answering machine. When husband answered and requested email verification, this caller with the Indian accent was very evasive, suggested his supervisor would call. The account that was referenced was supposedly closed 20 years previously.

Suspect this is a scam as the caller deliberately tries to leave no paper trail or evidence of what he is trying to accomplish.

Received 2 calls within 10 mins. from New Jersey. Returned call. Male answered, had Indian accent.  When asked who & why they were calling they hung up.

I called back and got another person who said the company is called First Source and they are a debt collection agency.

I'm getting calls from this number as well, with no messages left.  when I called the number back, I got a woman who spoke broken english as well.  When I asked what company she was with she angrily said, "how did you get my number?" and I did not get any more information out of her.

Just calls and calls and calls etc. Very annoying let me tell you.

Had an Indina accent and said a name smilar to mines. When asked who they were they hung up.

Looking for a Thomas Dunne (not me). Indian accent, as said. I called them back to remove my name. Somewhere in Jersey, but unlisted. Search shows as MCI land line. I pressed to find out who they are, but the other party refused to say.

This is a collection agency (I didn't get the name).  The caller had an Indian accent.  They called my cell phone and tried to shake me down for a delinquent account owned by a person with a similar name to mine.  This is, I believe, a misdemeanor in New York State. (Article 240. Section 30)

I got this phone # on my caller id. No msg was left.
