Called number:  I am eligible for a quote to reduce my auto insurance costs.  Option to speak to live agent.  I chose not to do so and hung up.

Same story as above. They called my cell phone, which makes this a double-whammy. Time to go to small claims court!

auto insurance solicitation

I received an automated call from 973-841-4697, which offered two options; to hit "1" to be connected to a person to discuss my auto insurance and "3" to be removed from the list. Hitting "3" dropped the call. I called it several times and "3" simply dropped the call. I called it back and hit "1" and spoke to someone. I asked to be removed from the list and he hung up. I called back and hit "1" and spoke to a different person. I asked to know what company they are. She hung up. I called back again and an auto message told me that it was no longer in service. I tried again and got the same message was played. Not in service.

This seems like a fishing scam designed to gather your personal information.

Got a call from this #, then tried to call it back and was told the # is not in service! I hate these companies with a passion!

don't pick up!  it's a bull**** sales call re: auto insurance!  arrrghhhh, how do they get my number - I HATE telemarketers...

I keep getting calls from this number, 973-471-4697 on my cell phone.

called it back pressed 1 and had a girl named Jasmine answer when i asked her how she got my # she responded with an attitude then hung up when i told her im on the do not call list

A "NO NAME" for this call registered on my ID---I never call those NO NAME callers back.

I answered my cell, call from 973-841-4697, because it was local for me. Recorded voice--"This is a public service announcement" so I kept listening "to inform you you are paying too much for auto insurance..." Okay, heard enough, click.

9 seconds blank call from 9738414697 and then i checked reviews on the net, which says all about this caller highlighted as weird.

I called back and it says that local auto insurance rates just went down. It begins by saying press eight for Spanish and then says Hi this is Mary (but it is a recorded message).

This number called me and I called it back twice. First time it said not in service, second time it was just dead air.

I called back 10 minutes later. The phone company said "This number is not in service. Please check....".
I made sure I dialed the correct number twice.
