NO POLICE AGENCY SOLICITS DONATIONS BY TELEPHONE, PERIOD.  Particularly "cold-calling."  This outfit's been at this for years and for whatever reason no lawful authority has taken the time to pursue and prosecute them for fraud.  Local agencies solicit locally, as the UNION, not the MUNICIPALITY.  The FOP (Fraternal Order of Police) or PBA (Policeman's Benevolent Association) is the recipient of the donations in the local drives.  On top of that, the phone number is "spoofed," not the actual source.

I am currently an employee at the Outreach Calling call center. The address is 4751 Route 42 South Turnersville NJ 08012. It is above the liquor store. Damian Muziani is the owner. As employees, we are told that the reason we only donate 1-15% of the proceeds we collect is because the rest is used to keep the building operational and everyone's paycheck coming in each week. But if we only collect that much for charity, isn't the organization itself kind of unnecessary? Yep. I am currently searching for another job, as I am quite fed up with getting paid to swindle money from people over the phone. If you are called, to the best of my knowledge the best thing to do would be to request to speak to a verifier, then request that you be removed from the list. If you tell that to a regular call rep (the person pitching the sale to you) the best we can do is hit "Not Interested" which will remove you from the list for that specific organization for about 6 months. You will still be called from the same number in the meantime, but you will be asked to donate for different organizations. I am not sure, but I believe hitting "Business/Fax" as opposed to not interested removes you from that specific list permanently, however we would probably get fired for doing that on purpose. Talking to a verifier should remove you from all lists permanently, but it depends if they actually do it. They are supposed to, and I have seen them do it before, but they try to avoid it as much as they can. As has been said here before, never donate through a third party. Always give to your preferred charity directly. I hope I have been of use.

You can block the number through you phone company, or invest in a phone with call-blocking options! Hope this helps!

I am  on the Do Not Call List but like everyone in the other posts are saying, you still get these bogus calls and they claim that the do not call rules apply to them because they are non profit orgnanizations.  Do anyone have any suggestions on how to stop these annoying calls?

for your cell - put the number in your directory "Junk call" for the name and shut OFF the RINGER.  it saves me a bunch of time and I don't get charged for a call I don't answer.

i have been getting calls last few month daily from977-999-6091 so tired of this. what do they get ? disturbing people .

I just spoke with someone on this number and they were looking for a $50 or $35 donation for breast cancer research.  They didn't say where they were calling from, the company or organization.

Must have gotten our number from another donation list. I am sick of calls that disrupt time at home.  Unlisted number on do not call list

Got my first call from these clowns. Did not anwer. No message left. Called my phone company and added them to the reject list. The next time they call, they hear a message, "This number is not taking calls from you." Better than reporting them to the do nothing do not call people.

I am sick and tired of this New Jersey caller 973-999-6091 calling my number.  Today I actually picked up the phone but did not answer it. A gentlemen said "hello"  I then cut in and said "New Jersey?"  the man said yes, is Carolyn home.  I said no not at the moment but could I talk a mssg.  He said no, he would call back and asked who I was.  I told him I was someone else and asked him to take my number off his call list and he said he would.  Well let's see.  I get this call 2-5 times a day and usually never answer it.  Now I know.  And, also, I have donated to the police, however, I never even thought about asking what f-n city they were from.  They do give the stickers to put on your car though in the event you get stopped.  This has helped me in the past......... I'm seeing myself now as a Big L.....  Once you're on the list you're one the list.  This also apply's to Reserve Plice Officers Association, National Police and Trooper Association, Volunteer Firefighters Assoc.  They are all located in the same state from what I remember sending the $10.00 donation's to.  Am I a sucker or what?

This is insane.  Police, marketing or whatever, wanting donations.  I think I'll set up a number and ask for donations for MYSELF.  I hate the damn-a** phone.  Gotta get a gun.

Agreed the "Do Not Call Registry" is bogus.  In my opinion it was started just to appease people, let you think that it'll stop calls.  I get 2-3 calls a day for some sort of solicitation.  And sometimes for the same thing.  I called my local phone company and, of course as I knew, they couldn't help me but, did tell me something I could do.  Answer the phone, then just start pushing buttons.  It's supposed to mess w/the machine calling.  I do it everytime, if anything, I can be just as annoying as the caller. :-)

Received a call from a young woman who asked for me by 1st name (with an attitude). When I said that I was not home and if I can take a message she said that it was a courteously call and hung up on me.

Police Calls, Political Calls & Non-Profit groups are exempt from this DNC Registry. They will investigate any other calls. I reported this number & used my phone call blocking service. *60 & follow the prompts.

thank you for the info!!!  I just called to confront them, they admitted it was them, they use auto dialers, then blah blah blah...if EVERYONE calls to confront them, at the number provided above, maybe it will annoy them as much as it annoys us!!!

please stop these annoying calls. i answer and nobody is there. i am handicapped and have one heck of a time getting to the phone only to find that nobody is there. PLEASE stop!
