408.809.1608 Extension 2434 from someone named Billy with SAP

Message left on voicemail by a blocked number: "Hey XXXX, This is Billy with SAP Software Company. If you can give me a call back at 978-298-1032. My extension is 2434. Thank you."

Next call was answered from a blocked number:
ME: "Hello"
Caller: "Is this xxxx?"
ME: "Would you mind identifying yourself since you called from an anonymous number?"
Caller: "This is Billy"
ME: "Billy who?"
Caller: "I'm calling from SAP"
ME: "What is your call in regards to?"
Caller: "Is this XXXXX?"
ME: "You have the wrong number. Please do not call back."

Called the number left from voicemail afterwards to verify who this was.
Operator: "Thank you for calling SAP. How can I direct your call?" (a lot of background noise like I contacted a call center or telemarketing office)
ME: "I'm calling to reach extension 2434"
Operator: Immediately..."That person has left for the day"
ME: "Who is that person you are referencing as being gone for the day?"
Operator: "Just a second while I look up the extension. Is it Rebecca?"
ME: "No, that isn't who left a voicemail"
Operator" "They are from the East Coast, so they are gone for the day."
Me: "Who is gone for the day that you are referencing?"
Operator, "I'm not sure"
ME: "Please place me on the do not contact list."
Operator: "Ok, what is your number?"
ME: "xxx-xxx-xxxx. How long will it take to no longer be contacted?"
Operator: "Uh, well, immediately."

"Jamar" from SAP just called for me on our private work line. Very annoying and frustrating. How the hell do they get our numbers?! 978-298-1032 Ext. 2430

Received a call from "Jamal" stating he was from SAP.  Heard kids in the background; sounded like it was a call made from home.  Will block thus number on my phone.  

Got a voicemail from someone named Sharon from SAP. Extension 2385.

If you are so legit why do you block your number?  And why don't you say the purpose for your call when you leave a voice mail.  Shady shady shady!

Just because it is SAP does not make it legit. Why do you not state your reason for calling instead of just tricking someone into calling back? Gives a bad impression from the start.

I called and it is SAP marketing.

Received a voicemail from this number, caller said "this is Danielle from SAP" x2328.  Thought it might be in reference to a training class for which I recently registered.
Danielle: "Are you familiar with SAP?"
Me:        "Yes.  Is this in reference to my training class?"
Danielle: "Oh, so you're already using SAP?"
Me:        "Yes."
Danielle: "OK -- uh -- I'll -- uh -- make a note of that.  Thank you."  <click>

Advice to telemarketers:  if you're legit and on contract w/SAP, please say so, and don't state or even imply that you're actually SAP.  The worst you'll get from me is a polite "thank you anyway."  You would then see the tone of all these posts change dramatically (or stop altogether!)
Being truthful and straightforward goes a long way.

My company has received SEVERAL unwanted calls from this ''Restricted'' number - by SAP associates. When we answer we tell them we are not interested and please do not call back and remove us from the list. They say they are calling to follow-up regarding some software that we downloaded or were interested in. We are not interested and if we were, this behavior from their callers has deterred us from doing any business with SAP. Who wants to be constantly called by a company to do a supposed follow-up? Not us.  I even went directly to the SAP website and submitted a message to them via their site requesting that they not contact us and to remove us from all of their lists because we are not interested. That approach has obviously not worked. Terrible business practice on behalf of SAP.

If I showed interest in your product online, then received the call I did that sounded only semi-professional, I would NEVER do business with your company. I get professional calls from vendors all the time. They leave a detailed messages and are articulate. Using a cold caller who has poor phone skills and even poor "phone appearance" is a BLM (Business Limiting Move). I'd rather get a professional looking email with information targeting specific items I reviewed on SAP's site, not a smuck who can't leave a professional message.

...Get this.....I DO call back sales agents...I WONT call back the one from SAP who called me "Asha" at extension 2372. I'm sure she's a nice person, she just isn't representing her product well. Leaving a detailed message demonstrates you respect the person receiving the call. Leaving NO details is what a bill collector or an unsavory character does.

Uh if a company wants to be taken seriously, they should make sure their telemarketers leave professional messages. Hi this is __from ___ and my number is ____ is NOT professional! Real sales agents leave details about WHY they are calling BECAUSE then value the time of the recipient. Learn your business if you want to be considered legit.

Received a call from this number today, Nadia at 978-298-1032x2345.  Said was calling on behalf of SAP.  They left a message, I'm definitely not calling back.

Got a call from this number. Also showed as private on caller ID.  They left a voice mail message and there was no mention of SAP.  Just a call me at this number message.

Hi all, when SAP customers visit SAP website to look at case studies, demos and education documents or they go to conferences and sign up , then they become part of the calling list so u should not be frustrated  when SAP call and yes this is a valid SAP number as its the call center number , i would suggest you tell the callers u dont wish to have or recieve any calls or emails. To frustrated i know Melissa personally and if u say take you off the calling list Melissa would always say thanks for taking the call and hang up so u must no be talking about somebody else

Got the same call with same name but used ext 2372

befeore you mislead your self and others, check sap.com and you will see the number listed thre. Right in your face. We dont ask for money, we call based on your activity on outr website or other point of interest showed in SAP produts. So dont speak of us in this manner.

if you guys would take time and go on SAP.com, you will see this said number posted there. we do work for SAP. so stop misjudging us.

Finally cleaned out an old voicemail box, and picked up a couple of messages from "Juliet" at X2698, calling from "SAP, the Global Software Company".  The last message was left Sep. 21, 2011 (yes, FINALLY, got around to the voice mail box).  The background noise on the message sounded consistent with some kind of telephone boiler-room operation.

Quite frankly, I have no idea how they got my contact information since, to my knowledge, I have never handed it over to SAP, or anyone else, for that matter.  See, the voice mail box is just a phantom, and isn't connected with a real phone at all.

Just wanted to add my story in appreciation of all the others who confirmed the dubious nature of calls from this number.

You are the first I've seen at your company that has a grasp of the English language. Perhaps you could offer assistance to your co-workers.

Apparently SAP does not require a decent grasp of the English language, nor does it require the use of a "spell or grammar check" program. I applaud that you enjoy your work, however, as an employer, I am very qualified to judge you as an employee, and regretably I would not want you to represent my company, at least not in print. Your co-worker tha called me today, from extension 2371, was also not a good company representative on the telephone. Her request for a call back was over-shadowed with the fact I could hear her chewing (I assume gum) during the entire voicemail message.

As with most persons here, I recieved a call from "SAP", the conversation was centered around Business Intelligence, the young lady advised that she basically wanted to know if we were interested in recieving information on SAP Business Intelligence or any other SAP related software. I said yes, she then sent me an email with the listings of SAP products, then followed up with me again, where i explained that we weren't interested cause our software works well, she then thanked me for my time and that was it. so if you're not interested just let them know, and I know alot about SAP, if you're having problems in your company with your data or data management give them an ear and you'll be surprised....if not just say no thank you...and that's it

I have received more than 25 calls from various people who say they are calling from SAP.  Today's call came from Melissa at 978-298-1032 x 2431.   When I asked to be removed from the calling lists, she said:  "let me give you some information."   I said no, I don't want information, I want to never be called again.  I explained I am not in a purchasing role, and do not have that responsibility and do not want to be harrassed ever again.   She started into a script saying "SAP is a company ..... "   I said do not call me again, and I hung up on her.

We keep getting harrassing calls from "Jamal" at SAP who wants a call back on 978-298-1032 Xxxx. It's just a telemarketing scam. Pass the word. If anyone knows who these crooks are by real name and has a street address and full contact information for them please post it here and everywhere. It's time to shut these bozos down.

SAP hires us to contact persons expressing an interest in their software, we are calling on behalf of them..stop trying to down grade what we do because it is all Legit

SAP has a call centre location so calling into the direct company would proved futile...if you would have call back the listed number you would have reached the said person...so before you judge u should have tried that cause we are calling fromSAP

I asure you guys that this is not a scam, its all totally legit as i work ther and can tell you that t is from SAP
