Now they call using "unavailable" and "Out of area" on the caller ID. The worst thing is they call at all times even at 8:26 A.M. eastern. I have told them politely several times to remove my number from their listings and to not call again. They just ignore my request and call about once a week with "unavailable" and "out of area" on the caller ID.

the caller ID said it was from "MAFOP".  They didn't leave a message.

Why does MAFOP keep calling my house. How can I make them stop and who are they?

I am sick of getting calls from the MAFOP asking for money. They do it more than once a year.  How do I get them to stop and what telemarking company is working for them....better yet, how much of the money people send actually go to the police fund?

I now longer answer Private or unavailable calls. They call at 8 in the morning and 9 or 10 at night and they even sell the lists to others. I have donated in the past BUT NO LONGER THEY JUST DONT QUIT and then the fire dept started calling as well as other so called police organizations. They blew it for themselves!!!!

MAFOP is a scam.  Nothing stops them.  Get a phone that blocks calls.

i just got a call from them. 5 times already. i reported them to the donotcalllist because they just keep harrassing me.,

i keep getting phone calls from these people. we have told them 4 times to stop calling. they just called me for a 5th time.

These folks called at 8 AM on Saturday morning and I am very annoyed with it.  I will not answer calls that show up like MAFOP, Private Number, Unavailable or Unknown on my caller ID but that does not stop the calls at all.  I get numerous calls every day and I just ignore them.

Saturday evening...9 calls in an hour and a half which I did not answer. I answered a year ago and the obnoxious rep on the other end ended up calling me a liar...and they want my money? My phone can be programmed to block calls...which I have set up. Goodbye to MAFOP

Have been receiving numerous calls from this number for the past two months as well as from 'Unavailable' at various times of the day, sometimes as early as 8:15AM. No messages are left. Their persistence is beginning to annoy us.

Thank you for the information. I have donated to both firefighters & FOP in the past. This year, I have received a number of calls, including caller I.D. "unavailable" as well as traceable calls. They are both tenacious and irritating!

I have received endless calls from the Fraternal order of Police. I have
asked them not to call to no avail. I remind them that I am on the
do not call registry but it makes no difference. These b*****ds call
nearly everyday. I have received calls  before 8 am  and after 9 pm. It is extremely disrespectful. There is nothing worse then getting one of
these calls when your trying to unwind after a hard day at work.
Im sick to death of the harrassment and endless hang up calls!

My caller ID showed MAFOP which most likely is Massachusetts Fraternal Order of Police on one of the many police organization fund raising campaigns.

I HAVE REPORTED YOUr number (1-978-485-0172) TO THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY WITH THIS ISSUE.

IT'S DISTURBING TO GET CALLS AFTER 9PM AS WELL AS OTHER TIMES OF THE DAY.

These "people" just don't get the message when you tell them to remove from calling list and to not call ever again. Now they get around this by calling and hanging up once a week now. Should the pigs be harassing you for "donations" or doing their jobs like catching criminals and terrorists. It seems like they find it easier to annoy than uphold the law. BTW making repeat calls in which the end result is to harass and annoy is against the law! And the pigs allow this kind of BS!

Get calls from this number usually dead air on the line but when you do get a person yak yak about the Massachusetts Fraternal Order of Police. When asked how they got my number they won't answer and when told to not call they go into a safety lecture and "ask" for a donation in support of them. I just tell them no money for you go blame GW and don't call this number again. Now I get calls from "Out of area" on the caller ID that just hang up. So I let the machine answer the "Out of area" calls instead.

All this happens when you give to a charity. They sell your number to try to bleed you for a donation. That is why people don't give any more. You give just once and you're cursed for life just because of a moment of kindness. And that is why you don't give to charity over the phone! They just make your phone ring and hang up when you pick up! BTW this has been happening for over a year now.

So when I'm ever in a bad mood and they call and it's not a hang up I curse them out. It doesn't matter that I'm being rude they just keep calling over and over anyway. They don't get the message I have no money to give to them ever because of the numerous calls from them! You keep calling you get nothing ever again from now on!

This call is from a group that claims to raise funds for police officers and firefighters. From what I understand only a very small portion goes to fire or police organizations.As a firefighter and an EMT I urge you to give locally if you desire to make a donation. Your local police and fire will appreciate it.

I got a call from this 978-485-0172 trying to talk to me, but since I am always on vacation for unidentified intrusers I am not here to answer, hahaha - I just got that "I will call later" I said, DO NOT CALL LATER. You should always to it too!

I called this back just to see who it was...  I got a recorded message saying it was a fund raising group of some sort (though it didn't what the name of the group was, or for who it was raising the funds for).
