Same as other posts - chimney sweep service, Bolton, MA ID.  Not legit.  Told woman to remove me from list for whatever good that will do.

Called from a chimney cleaning service. I told them I didn't have a chinmney and she said they had driven by my house and had pictures.

I got a call from this number tonight. This is the first time but it was 8:15pm and after reviewing the other entries I wasn't about to let this continue.  I immediately blocked the number.  I could hear a womans voice in the background, sounded like a call center but I said 'Hello' several times and nobody would respond.  I'm going to report the number to the phone company.  They should disconnect their service.  Clearly a scam.

This woman called me and said that she knows where I lived and started to threaten me. Scary part is that she had my house number right. She also had the correct name of my husband. Don't know if I should take the threat seriously.

Watch out she is a lunatic. Never told me what she wanted. Just hung up on me.

does it cost money to block them?

does it cost money to turn on the call screening, then blockig the number??  I think I have Verizon, not Comcast...

If I get my hands on this bi***....she just called, said she was from a chimney sweep company. Asked how long it's been since my chimney was swept. I told her I didn't have one. Basically said she didn't believe me and just hung up. I have a zero tolerance policy for a***oles. Payback is a bi***, and so is she...I'll find her number and call her every night at 3am and hang up. No skin off my back, I work nights:)

We've been receiving the same call off and on for a month now.  Tonight was the last straw as they called after 10:30 p.m.  No one speaks; then they just hang up.  Did ask once about the chimney and house heat and I asked her to take me off the do not call list.  Finally did the Comcast Block Call.  I know the block call works as we've used it in the past.

It seems that this is still going on...I got the call last week and several times today...thank god for this website...I couldn't find the number listed anywhere else!

rec'd a call just now and the last asked for MRS..... well I am not a Mrs and when I went to say No, but this is.... she groveled and then said, I will call again, like it was my fault and hung up.... called them back and it stated, unable to complete your call.

Called again today, different number, I have the other(s) blocked. She asked how I heated my home and I told her that I "heat my house with the do-not-call-list". She said "ugh" and hung up. Might as well have a little fun with these jerks! How about scheduling a cleaning and the cancelling it when they show up? Any liability there??

I received 3 calls from them just today. They were looking to service my chimney. I politely declined. Then they called me again in the afternoon, I wasn't home to answer. Then again in the evening and when I asked if it was the chimney company they said 'yes, how did you know?" I replied that I spoke with them in the morning. She got really upset stating that it wasn't her company that called me and she hung up... I hope they don't call again. I try to be nice for I know that they have a job to do as well but when you say you're not interested, that should be the end of the calls.

These people call all day everyday and I block their numbers everytime, but they must have an app that allows then to change numbers because when I block one they call from another one. It's always "Hello I'm calling from your local chimney sweep and I'm looking for Mrs. So & So" and I say stop calling and they'll usually swear at me or hang up. The girl who calls is the worst. She called from a different number the other night at 8:45 and my infant daughter was asleep so I said please don't call this number again you just woke my daughter and she said to me "not my effin problem b****!" and hung up on me. I reported this to the phone company and filed a police report, but got nowhere. This is harrasment!!!

Just received 4th call today.  WTF!

Same here, that number Bolton, MA, Empire maintenance 978-558-0798 calls constantly.
I called them, all technicians are busy.

grrrrr very frustrating. please let me know if anyone finds out any information.

why doesn't some government agency get involved in these scam artist company...I too get 3 to 4 calls a day from these jerks, I think all of us who receive these calls should call the attorney general's office and report their annoying tactics...or call William Galvin, Secry' of the Commonwealth of Mass and report them...maybe someone will investigate, maybe even get the WBZ I-team or Hank Phillipe Ryan involved.   Please let me know if anyone has any idea on how to block calls if you have Verizon...thanks.

They call multiple times per day.  I finally started answering today to see who it was.  After a few hangups, I had a male ask for me by name.  I answered, "How can I help you?"    He asked again if I was Mr. "Smith."  I said yes and again asked what I could do for him.   He stated, "Rude A** mother."  and hung up.  There is the typical boiler room operation chatter in the background.     I just finished blocking their number, so I hope I won't hear from them again.

I have the same problem, if you call the number back it's supposedly voice mail for Empire Maintenance in Bolton. They called me five times yesterday. Usually I hang up before they say anything, today I stayed on, a woman's voice came on the line, I asked if I could help her and she hung up. So I called my phone service provider Comcast and they informed me how to turn on call screening:
Dial:
*60
1 to turn the feature on
2 to add a number to be blocked
number to be blocked then # key
6 to exit the feature.

Apparently it takes 24 hours to go into effect and then the call should be blocked from getting through. We'll see.

This number calls constantly and never responds when I answer. When I call back, I get some, Empire Maintainence Company... all technicians busy and an opportunity to leave a message. The only info I could get is that they are from Bolton, MA. Any idea who or why!
