Also - if you call them back or call the 800 number you get a rude receptionist that says she has not call list to take you off of but she says she will spam your number to the 300+ people that work there.  Time to get less polite with these people when they call.

Calling all the time - asking for the owner - do not transfer as per above. Telemarketers...  

I just received a call from this number. Maxim. He asked for our Partner and I told him he was in a meeting. I asked if I could take a message and he said, "I'll try him later."

"Michael" from Maxum Group called for one of my bosses. Was very brief and I had to drag info out of him....

"May I ask who is calling?" answer- Michael...
"From Where?" answer Maxim Group...
sigh

"And What is this regarding??" answer "it's a personal business matter..."

"Ok"...and I put him on hold, then told him the person was not available and did he want voicemail...of course he didn't and replied "I will just call back later" and I responded "ok" (and he will get same thing later. Telemarketers, if you dont tell me what it is regarding, you are not going to get through me, except to voicemail. :D Have a Niiiiccce Dayyyyy"

I was a receptionist for a long time and this is the "asking for a made up name because some other made up name referred them so you'll call them back to tell them this is not that person and they will know the number is active and maybe get your name."

Joe Martin called me.  Very unprofessional, wanted to get me involved with IPO's of stocks that trade on OTC and Pink Sheets.  I told him I was not interested.

You can call Maxim Group directly and file a complaint with a manager or the Compliance department, especially if someone was rude to you. They are required by law to remove you from their call list if you request it. Just go on their website and call one of the numbers on the "Contact Us" page.
