Party called and hung up

2nd notice to lower my credit card interest to six%. well since i dont have a credit card,they must trying to give me one..some kindda scam....

These a**holes call 3 times a day! Get a REAL job that doesn't include scamming people! there is no way to block calls from this number- they will call from the same number, just one digit off...

don't get your hopes up about a "national do not call list" - the telemarketer is located in massachusetts, so it's not bloody likely that they will be fined for a CANADIAN do not call list.  in fact, they probably used the canadian do not call list to get your number!

the do not call lists are a joke and a political attempt to score points without really solving anything.  the law should be a little more specific - phone providers are required to disconnect service after 100 verified complaints have been received.  phone providers who do not comply should be wide open to class-action lawsuits from telephone subscribers, to recover loss of use of their phone lines, air time, etc.  it would make it less profitable to sell phone lines to the telemarketers.

I got a call, and actually started to answer it.. It took just long enough for me to realize it was an automated dialer.. I hung up and blocked them

The reason why they won't even try to trace the calls is because they are fraudulent companies who operate in hotel rooms who know they know they have to stay on the line for a few minutes in order to get traced. That's why they hang up right away or just don't pick up. Next time you guys get a phone call like that, act like you're interested and see how long they will stay on the line with you.

I've also been receiving calls about my auto insurance being expired. I'm shocked auto insurance companies aren't doing anything to stop this. If I were them, I would have the authorities try to trace, fine, and jail anyone who only want to piss-off my customers by engaging in illegal activity. Then again, like I said before, they are almost untraceable. :(

called my land line home phone 10AM today Feb 25. we don't use voice mail or answer our land line and even still, we get tons of calls from these annoying telemarketers. YOu would think the computers would eventually clue in that nobody is home and never answers!  I can't believe I pay for a phone just so that these sub-humans can annoy us in our own homes. Privacy invasion or what.

I have received many of calls from this company.

My dad has researched the number and found out that it is a company called Mutual Consolidated Services. He has a very effective way of getting these calls to stop.

1. He calls their 800 # 877-891-1348 or 800-943-3250.
2. He asks for Chris the compliance officer.
3. He tells Chris "Do not call my number! If you do, this is what will happen, for every one of your calls, I will call 100 times and bother you because you are bothering me!"

This is not illegal to do. It ties up their lines and it's makes him VERY angry! If he says he's going to call 18 division Police department, tell him he's full of it, cause there is no such thing!
And if you want to throw something else in there to make him know you're serious.

To Whom it may concern,

   My name is Chrysta, number is ***-***-****.  I will make you remember this number quite well if you do not take the following actions promptly!  I have received many of calls from your company and I have requested to be removed from your calling list a numerous amount of times and really would like these calls to stop!  

I WILL be removed from your calling list and I PROMISE you, I WILL take the following action!  If I receive one more call I will email you my phone number 100 times because apparently you are unable to remember it.

Apparently you didn't take my promise seriously.  I warned you that if i received another call from your company i would email you my phone number 100 times due to the fact you can't seem to remember it.  I have phoned you and emailed you and you didn't follow through....

Needless to say, Chris emailed me back re-assuring me that he has removed my number from the list.
I informed him I follow through with my promises and I emailed him 100 times.  I am sure he's not happy right now... oh well!

This is a very effective way to deal with this company because my dad is not receiving anymore calls!

Credit card interest scam.  I pressed one, asked questions and talked slowly.  This time they seemed polite - there's a first time for everything I guess.  Anyway they seemed to clue in and want off the phone fairly quickly, so I only held him up for a couple of minutes.  I do wish they would respect do not call requests.

They said it was a service where they would contact your financial institution to negotiate better rates, and there would be no out of pocket cost - I think that means they charge your credit cards, but I doubt they would admit that.

Called our business number.  I pushed the "1" to speak to a representative.  Immediately I asked, the name of the company (Cards Services), who they were working for and where they got my business number(Experian) and then where they were (Florida).  I asked if he knew where he was calling, yes.  Upon pressing for an answer, his response was "somewhere in Canada."  At that point, I asked to be removed from the list as we didn't use CC in our business.

Just got the call and let the machine get it.  An automated voice saying that if I have not recieved mail about consolidating my credit cards if they are over $4000 in debt combined and at least one in good standing then press 1 to talk to someone about a low 6% credit option. it also said press 3 to opt out of the call list, but I stopped the machine after that.

Got the same call today at my office in Halifax.

I am registered with the "Canadian National Do Not Call List", however, this telemarketer still called.  I complained to them, and then reported them as a complaint at the following website https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/plt-cmp-eng

You should register your name on the Do Not Call List, and then report them if they call you.  They can be fined for each call.

They called me yesterday when I wasn't home and didn't leave a message.  Since the DNC list might actually be making the situation worse, as most of my telemarketing calls are from the US, maybe I'll take my home and cell numbers off the list.

Called me at 2AM (yes, I do mean 2 in the morning). To say that I was annoyed would be to understate it.

Received a call from this number early this morning. Came online to figure out who it belonged to...I never call back numbers that I dont know without looking them up first. Glad I didnt answer.

Similar experience. the moment I called and spoke to someone )plitely) asking that I be removed from the calling list, they hung up.

This number 1(978)570-2097 calls my business every other day and my home about 2 to 3 times a week. So i finally decided to listen, it says to speak with someone to press one (1). So i did, a guy came on and said " you pressed one to receive low interest on your credit card debt of higher than $4000.00... I said " No, if i get one more calls from this number im going to file harrassment charges with the RCMP, im sick of getting this phone call on my cell, home phone, and on my company lines." i finally decided to take a break and say hello and heard the ping for the phone hanging up....

Guy was an idiot....

Got the call today and the minute they answered with some American drawl and I told them to remove my name from their database they hung up.  This is an invasion of our privacy and what a crock putting your land line on a do not call list....now they have free territory on cell phones.  Its got to stop once and for all.

I answered and pressed 1 to talk to a representative, when i got him i asked politely if they could not call this number anymore and they hung up the phone on me.

The owner's name of this number Jpm located in Wilmington, MA 01887.  Jpm may be the JP Morgan Chase Co. (NYSE: JPM).  It's a company with assets and operations in more than 60 countries involved in investment banking, financial services for consumers, small business and commercial banking, financial transaction processing, asset management, and private equity.

Just got a call from these people.  Definately a U.S. based company trying to sell credit in Canada.  The company name they mentioned is World Class Services (not really if you ask me)  I agree with the person above who should be asking the Governement before they are re-elected again to make the necessary changes to the DNCL legislation !

If I find out the number of who is calling to harrass us I will post it and I suggest everyone make at least 10 calls a day for a couple of weeks harrasing them so it can stop !

Hi, I have had so many calls from different numbers that we let the answering machine take care of it. Machine to machine. Lots of California calls on my cell number although this was on landline. I am so happy I found this site. Needed to know who is calling from out of area. Won't try the DNCL since the news scare.
