no message... previous reporter stated this was an alarm company who called him, yet it came up as "Dentalcare" on my caller id... this is obviously a scammer!

Called today 1:15pm on my cell phone. Didn't recognize area code or number so I ignored it to voicemail. They left no message.
maven 2011-06-06 21:08:38 Unknown
They keep calling me and it says Dentalcare on caller ID

Just received a call from this number on my cell phone. Didn't recognize the number and did not answer. I have no caller ID info, nor did I receive a VM. I am getting more and more calls on my cell phone from telemarketers and wonder how I can stop them! Annoying!

I just got a call from 978-570-2349
On my phone ID it showed UET Suvery Date: 03-08-2011 at 3:00 pm
He was talking about installing a security system. and wanted me to take
a survey. I told him I didn't do surveys. Now I am filling out a claim to the
do not call Registry. I have both my home phone lines listed, and also
both of my cell phones.
I think it's really strange being they are in MA and I am in the Atlanta Ga
metro area. I have noticed that calls like this are always a great distance
away.

Called and said they were a law firm helping reduce peoples debt by 50%. I asked how they had my information. He said he got it from the credit bureau. I said I didn't believe him, and that was private information. He hung up on me. We are on the Do Not Call List also. Called ID said Telephone Management. I will call the numbers above to report. Thanks!

Caller ID came up as "DENTAL CARE", then started talking about credit cards and consolidation. American Dental Association is informed of this bogus company masquerading as a dental outfit.

The way to report it is simple. Call the FTC and file a complaint. Call the National Do Not Call Registry and File another complaint. If every person who posted here files these complaints, maybe we'll get somewhere. The girl that helped me at the FTC also gave me the number to file it with the state office.
"If your number is on the National Do Not Call Registry, you should get calls only from those companies with which you do business ? or those that have your permission to call. If you get calls from a company you don?t have a relationship with ? or from a company you have told not to call you ? report it. Jot down the name and number of the caller, and the date and time of the call.
To report phone fraud, visit FTC.gov or call 1-877-FTC-HELP.
To report violations of the National Do Not Call Registry, visit DoNotCall.gov or call 1-888-382-1222."

I'm pretty sure the guy says his name is Ben. He has called from different numbers from different states. I got two calls this evening within two hours of each other. I have not had insurance through Homesite, but that's not to say that they didn't get my name from other list. It's a shame people have nothing better to do than try to scam people. Thanks for the information, Jeff!
Jeff 2011-03-10 02:06:47 Unknown
Do you have Homesite Insurance or have you had insurance through them? I think they or one of their officers is illegally sharing privacy information with a scam artist located at or near their home office.
Jeff 2011-03-10 01:59:25 Unknown
Is Ben or Glen? Do you have or have you ever had insurance through Homesite InsuranceA? I think that Homesite or someone at Homesite, possibly Glenn P, is illegally sharing private information with a scam artist possibly located at the same location as Homesite Corporate. It appears this company called Home Security Systems is calling me from different area codes. I recently had Homesite Insurance through GEICO and made GEICO change to a more reputable company when I learned about the poor performance of the insurance. company. It appears that Homesite or their officers may also be violating customers' privacy.
Jeff 2011-03-10 00:54:23 Unknown
This the same location as Homesite Insurance Company. A company with a bad reputation. GEICO had very briefly had me with this company, and I had it changed within days of finding out. It appears that they or someone at their company is illegally sharing private phone numbers with a scam artist. If you have or had insurance with this company, this may be the source of the Home Security Systems scam. I would suggest you contact Homsite Insurance and let them know they are violating your privacy rights. It appears that a class action suite may be needed along with States' Attorney General reviews of this scam company operating as Home Security Systems. They have used 3 different bogus numbers to contact me within the past two months. I had Verizon block one.

This and 406-351-4361 have been calling me nonstop and not leaving messages...
Julia 2011-03-09 21:08:00 Unknown
Yes, they are SUPPOSED to stop calling, but these people are idiots. They will call from different numbers and from different states. And they have never called from my state. I'm sure no home security company would travel cross country to install a security system.
Julia 2011-03-09 21:02:58 Unknown
No, there definitely is no correlation. This is obviously a telemarketing scam calling random numbers. I've gotten the same calls from several different numbers. Obviously, the DNC list means nothing to these people. Maybe I will keep a whistle near me and blow it in his ear the next time he calls! This needs to be stopped.
Julia 2011-03-09 20:57:47 Unknown
That's what happened to me. When I heard it was this scammer, I hung up on him. Then I thought that I should have told him never to call again, so I called the number back within a MINUTE of getting his call. The number was mysteriously out of order. Tried calling back the other number (yeah, they use multiple numbers from different states ... all claiming to be Ben) and no luck. I guess the DNC list is worthless.
Julia 2011-03-09 20:53:22 Unknown
Yeah, but they are calling from different numbers, too. Within a few days, I got two calls from "Ben at Home Security Systems" from different numbers and both numbers are cell phones from different states. I am sick of it. Oh, and I'm on the DNC list, too. I guess that doesn't matter.
Julia 2011-03-09 20:36:17 Telemarketer
Keep getting calls from this number as well as 406-351-4361. Each time there is a delay until someone comes on the line. A man claims to be "Ben from Home Security Systems". I am on the DNC list and am getting sick of it. Clearly this is a scam. I hung up on him and decided to call the number back to demand that they never call me again, and I got a recording that the number wasn't in service. Tried calling the other number back and no luck either.

I have received repeated calls from an alarm company in Maryland directed to my cell phone. I consider these calls to be annoying and unwanted.

Watch this one. They are persistent. Don't answer; you are not missing anything but a scam.
Debbie 2011-03-09 01:40:30 Unknown
I have received a call from this number several times a day for the last week. Haven't answered; no message left; and I'm getting annoyed. Finally, I sent a text message to stop calling my number and this is what I received back: "900080004222 97857002349 is a landline#. Reply Y to send all TXT messages to this # as voice messages for $.25/msg. + std msg fee. Detail @ vtext.com, Texttolandline". Best I figure I'm out .25 +. IT'S A SCAM. How many do they get each day? week?Question: How can we stop this scammer? I will look into it MAJOR!!
