I am so tired of these folks calling me, the call the house; and now the cell; I don't even know how they got the cell #.  I just turned it on 2 days ago!

This was the second call I received yesterday from a different area code from my own.  Caller left no message.

Just got a call from them.

Our personal bane in our house is PROTEL (another harrassment expert of telecommunications). They've called us several times now and after doing some research on them I found out they've harrassed other people and are associated with ID theft.

My wife and I have discovered a way to at least squelch the automated call services for a few "harrassing" phone numbers.

If you own a cell phone, invest in a "ringback" tone. The automated services are designed to hang up if they don't get an actual "pick up" and they don't leave messages on the answering machine.

My wife has a ringback on her phone, and when these morons DO call her, they get the ringback. The cell phone rings once, and the machine hangs up because it's not getting an actual person. Still annoying, but at least you don't have to pick up the phone and complain at some identity theft idiot who wants to harrass you constantly.

I answered and 1 and this guy was like "Can I verify your make and year of your vehicle" and I just asked to be removed from their list, the guy apologized and said removed my number! I got a call again today! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

This has got to be the 100th call saying it's the second warning of a warranty on my car.   It's also the third number they have used, so blocking wouldn't work if I could...which I seem unable to accomplish!  I'm really becoming a bit testy!!

this company have more #s that they call from and I contacted the BBB and this company wasn't listed. you can try under the name National Auto Warranty Service and see what you find.I'm going to get back on the BBBwebsite and see what will happen know that I think this is their name the guy by the way who was rude before he hung up said the name was similar. try and see what happens good luck !!!

Another one of those darn warranty calls.  I have had 8 different telephone numbers (in two days) all calling about the same thing.  Why do we have to be bothered with this nonsense on our cell phones?  The phone numbers are:  
978-570-2358, 702-520-1112, 203-659-2590,
616-597-4012, 603-214-3340, 419-241-4753,
253-964-6881, 913-764-1333. Does anyone know how to stop this calling??????????

These people have called my cell phone repeatedly-atl east 2-4 times a week.I too have pushed the 2 number to stop receiving calls -does not work-The other day I received a call and I decided to push the one -the girl came on said i need your car make etc- i said no -i have told you not to c-and just as i was saying call she hung up-this is really a scam - i own an old car that was bought used-it is annoying that  these people call contiually- i really do hope that a law suit has been issued on them-and i am curious to hear of the outcome!THEY NEED TO BE FINED AND SHUT DOWN!!!

They need to stop calling and using up my cell phone minutes. Annoying and I should not have to worry to see if my kids are calling me or some scam artist trying to sell me crap.

received a call today, but I wasn't at my desk to answer. left no message and when I returned call it is a busy signal

they called me today,again,and I was lucky enough to get a person,told them to quit calling me, person said their job was to bug people like me, I threatened to call AG OFFICE AND THEY SAID GO AHEAD... I DID. they are calling me on a cell phone number

It does not matter that you put a block on this number they have 10 or more other numbers. They call me from 1 of them 4-5 times a day (one number one day, another on another day) I do hope it is true that the Attorney General has filed a lawsuit against them.

Use caller ID.
If you don't recognize the number, don't answer it. It's like with spam email. If you respond, they know somebody is there and they sell your email to all their friends. By going through the system and pushing numbers on your phone they know somebody's home.
It might take a while for the "system" to stop but you have to start the stop sometime.

If you're lucky enough to talk to a person on the other end threaten legal action. Otherwise ignore.

Same thing - I'm already on the "Do Not Call" list.  Another one for Call Block.

I am sick and tired of getting these calls.  You can opt out they say but it takes a month they say.  I have done it once and the calls stopped for a while but they just started to come back.  I would love to sue them because they waste my time and minutes on my cell phone.  How do I take action against them?  Does anyone have a number to call them?

Attorney general filed lawsuit against:

National Auto Warranty Services Inc., of Wentzville, which also sent consumers postcards and letters informing them that their warranties were about to expire, and that it was offering them their final chance to purchase a renewed, extended warranty. The company failed to inform the consumers that it was not affiliated with the dealers or manufacturers of the vehicle, and that it was actually offering to sell MVESCs instead of warranties. In addition, the company violated the Missouri No Call Law by calling Missourians who were on the No Call list, as well as federal telemarketing laws by contacting consumers by phone and failing to honor their requests not to be called. The lawsuit was filed in St. Charles County Circuit Court.

Same thing here. I answered my cell and a pre-recorded message said that this is my second notice about my car warranty expiration. My warranty was up last year. They called yesterday and said the same thing, excpet they called from 800-724-8763.

It's the deffinately a scam and it won't let you opt out because it asks for a credit card number at the end. In order to renew. It's best if you tell your phone company to put that number on your block list. Please don't fall for this scam.
