This number calls my cell phone everyday, asking for a "Michelle".  I repeatedly tell the man that this is not me, and he hangs up.  He never leaves messages, but persistently calls everyday, and has done so for the past three weeks.  I've asked him to not call back, but he continues to do so.

Valentine and Kebartas are rude a***oles who are nothing but bottom feeding debt collectors.  Every single time they call me they get moved to the bottom of the payment pile.  By the way John Forbes is the customer service represenative that keeps calling and he is a complete dick.  He gets nothing for his company because of it.

I got a call today. Lady was polite. She said she was from a lawfirm. That she was representing Chase CC. I told her my information since I am in BK right now. Like I said she was poite and stern. But when I said I am in BK. Her tone went down and just needed the lawyers info. As directed by my lawyer I gave it to her. And she hung up.
Now question in. They are misrepresenting themselves? Is that not against the law? Just curious. And whated to add to the list of people now that have had the same issues. I usually google the number and wow am I surprised!

They have been calling my lines repeatedly asking for someone by another name, and when I reached Susan Evans at X262 and told her to take my numbers out of her database and not call again otherwise I would call the police and report harassment, her response was "yeah, whatever."  Real professional.  Their caller IDs have come up as 978-681-1726 and they are based in Lawrence, MA.  Who do we call to complain?

I just received a call from Valentine & Cavartis. The call wasn"t even for me, but a wrong number.  The message was such that it sounded important.

The caller, John Forbes, said that he had been trying to reach "me" since the incident on October 5th. Said he needed to ask a few questions then paused and said "or perhaps you have already retained counsel". Said he had been trying to reach "me" for several days and was concerned.

Well, naive me, thought it sounded serious enough that at least the caller should know he reached the wrong number. . . so I returned the call. Mr. Fowler asked me all sorts of semi-personal questions. I would not answer them, but asked where he was located (MA). He told me he was sorry to have bothered me and would take my name off the list.

That last statement raised a red flag and that is when online, read your comment, and found out the real story.

I then called Mr. Fowler back, told him I had figured out who his firm really was and was going to report him

End of story, but I thought you might be interested

Got a message from "Shawn Harden" at Valentine and Cavartis.  Claimed that he expected fully payment of a Chase account immediately.  Told him account was covered by a bankruptcy.  He didn't care.  Said he wanted money.  I hung up on him.  When Chase gets adults working form them, I'll give them my bankruptcy attorney's name.

I called to cancel a payment and explained that I have been unemployeed as a result of a car accident.  The woman stated that this is not her problem and that I should pay this with my rent money since this is more important.  Yelled and hung up on me.

Received a call on my business line from 800-731-7766 X391 Joe Malone. He left a case number for me to reference when I returned the call for a person who I do not have any relation to.  When I informed them of this, they said they would remove my name from their caller list.

I received a call from this agency, but it was a different number:  941-747-5137.  The lady that actually called me was ok, but then she put another lady on the phone who was ignorant, rude, disrespectful, ect. Her tone was very nasty and she was yelling! I told her to change her tone if she wanted me to talk to her, she didn't so I hung up on her.  She called back!  She continued to speak in the same ugly tone so I told her I will not talk to her and to not call my phone again. I called the office to make a complaint and got a voice mail.

Got a call from Valentine and Cavartis. 'Jack***' and that is the only reasonable name i can use, proceeded to tell me to check my neighbor's mailbox, for the person he was looking for and give them a message. told him I would do no such thing. They are looking for someone with my last name who used to live at my address. Something needs to be done about these people. My next step will be to file a complaint with the attorney generals office.

Valentine and Cavartis called and left me a message saying they needed to talk to me about a pending litagation and wanted to talk to me before they made any decisions on my behalf.  I was totally confused and listened to the message again.  They gave me the number and extention but said it so fast I had to listen 3 more times.  I was suppose to dial 309 and ask for Ralph, but I just stayed on the line to talk to the operator first. When she answered I ask for the name of the "law firm" she transferred me to someone else.  I asked for the last name (Cavartis) and how to spell it and was hung up on.  I then googled them and found this web site.  When I saw Chase uses the company I called my sister who has been going through some money issues and she said she was sure it was her account that was in question. I won't bother calling back and hope they don't call me again.

Valentine & Cavartis has been calling my house and asking for my neighbor everyday. We told my neighbor about the calls, and he already knew it was a collection agency, and all we had to do is ask them to stop calling. I have dealt with collection agencies before, so I knew that and was not really concerned with making such a request. But these people are exceptionally rude!!! They call as late as 9pm on weekdays, and 8am on weekends (which is early for us!!) When they called today, I asked the guy to stop calling me and he just kept asking me for my neighbor's number. I told him that I wasn't giving it to him because he already had it, asked for his name (Michael Brown...how common...he might as well have said John Smith!), then I asked for his supervisor. Of course, you never know if you get an actual supervisor or not, but when that guy got on the phone he was the worst! Kept asking me for my number! I said that he knew which number they had dialed, and asked what company it was that was calling from. He actually said that if I wouldn't tell him my number so that he could take it off the list, then he was going to hang up on me! He finally asked for only the last four digits of my number, which I gave him, and still would not tell me his name or the name of his company. Then he hung up on me. So I called the 800 number that is given in the initial call ("Press 9 or call us back at 1-800-731-7766") Then I goggled it and here I am. I AM SO HOT ABOUT THESE GUYS!!!!! I need to know what to do to get these guys off the phones...I have never been treated that way by collectors coming after ME!!!

A company called Valentine & Cavartis first called my ex-husband at work and told him they were a "litigation firm".  They aren't. I believe this is called, practicing law without a license.  When I called them, I was told I had 3 hours to pay the amount in full.  When I asked for a supervisor, I was told I was taling to the only one.  I called back and got someone else who acknowledged he shouldn't have said that.  Willing to settle - over time.  Mind you, never a letter from this company.  Waiting for one.  Want web site too.  May report to FTC and State Atty. General.  Will update.

I saw this number on my caller I.D. no message, but when I called it back I got a recording saying it was a non-working number.  If they're a collector and want someone to call them back they should at lease be calling from a working number.

They act like they are about to sue you to collect money for Chase and will even resort to leaving threatening messages on people not even related to person owing debt. I told them to proceed with legal action against person owing debt, but they did not seem interested. When I requested info to be sent in writing of agreement they would not do. Everything has to be done by phone. They wanted bank account numbers so they can take money. But all by phone. Also number always came up "Unavailable".

"Valentine and Carvartis" is the name of the firm on the generic message.  It says you must know the 3-digit extension to reach anyone.  No further information known.
