Didn't bother to answer to find out the reason why, but the defective part was returned to Dell, should easily been received by now, so my guess is it's Dell's people in India trying to sell their extended warranty program.

Yes,  no doubt this is Dell calling too, since their defective part was shipped out to them on Sat and it's now Tuesday.  I might have answered if their contractor identified themselves as from Dell instead of Worldwide Tech!!!
