I got a message that it was extremely important that I call Laura. What sort of valid business doesn't tell you the name of the business? And why was the caller ID different from the number they want me to call?

I got that SAME message today!!!   This must be some sort of scam!!

David Taylor and Associates, I called it from a work phone.  It's a collection agency that deals with zombie debt

I just called back and all you need to do is ask to be removed from the list.
