Same telemarketer/different politician!
This time the current Slidell mayor, Ben Morris is running for U.S.congress.
AFTER A FEW HANG-UPS I WAS ANGRY but finally someone waited `til I got the phone lifted to my head, and didn't hang up!
She asked about my knowledge of the candidate, blah blah blah. and politely begged for my vote.

Keep getting calls from this #.  As soon as I answer, they hang up.  I tried calling the # back and keep getting a busy signal.  I REALLY hate it!!!!

Keeps calling and hanging up. No way to call back - busy signal. Very harrassing and happening at least twice a day and 4-5 days weekly since mid-September 2008. Also effects cell phone usage by turning internet on and requiring reboots.

I also have been receiving these calls for at least the last week now and get at least 2-3 per night if not more.  The caller hangs up and when I try to call back it is either busy or hangs up on me again.  I got fed up last night and googled the number and then left a message with Jack Donahue's office and this morning was immediately contacted by Michelle Pichon (Pigeon? sp?).  She was very kind and helpful and said she would investigate immediately and try to get that number disconnected if it is bothering people and not functioning properly.  She was also extremely apologetic for the inconvenience.  I also saw one place online where it was attributed to Ben Morris and both are Republicans so maybe it is a phone bank.

Some of these posts are old, though, so I'm not sure if it is still a problem with Jack Donahue's phones or not... maybe someone else is using it now if it's a phone bank for Republicans.  Who knows.  Either way, she was going to look into it and she was very kind, friendly and sincerely wished to be helpful.  Hopefully the calls stop soon... they have become extremely bothersome.

caller keep calling and hang up i'm very tried of this

Receive about 8 calls from this number.  Each time they hang up when answering.  Call it back and you get NO answer!

Like many others posted here, I receive two calls per night, about ten minutes apart. They come between 8 - 8:30 p.m. I answered once, and the caller hung up.

I have been receiving the same calls from 985-655-8005 between 7:45 to about 8:20, when I pick it up the caller hangs up. Sounds like a scam against the the person or group who hired them. The company gets paid for each call that is answered! They can call more homes and make more money if they don't play the message that they were paid to leave!!! Donahue's people should deal with this scam. If Donahue is elected will he allow scams like this or worse to be played against his constituance!

I've been getting the same thing from the same number around the same time of night. Answering machine picks up, no message.

Caller hangs up.  Calls around the same time each evening for about a week.  Too bad for Jack's campaign.  If this number is really his campaign quarters looking for support, they have a strange way of getting my vote.

We received the same phone number on the caller ID, from Houma LA.  All four times the caller calls at around 8 - 8:30 p.m and hangs up when answered.

It is Jack Donahue's senate campaign calling for support. I had gotten several calls as you all have described, I finally got to talk to someone and I expressed my displeasure with their tactics. Here is some contact info:
