Same thing happening to me......  with SSA

Has anyone else had a problem with this number or other numbers being used to redirect a phone call back from a Government phone center to a number other than yours?  I'd love to hear if it's happening to others.

This number turned up when I requested a call back from Social Security Administration.  Since this is not my number I'm trying to figure out if they can spoof a phone number now and run it through another phone number like a fraudulent web site can do.  If so then they could allow my number to show or not on the other end.  

I had this number turn up as a call back number when the SSA asked to confirm my phone number.  Since this is mine I'm now trying to figure out how this number should appear in place of mine in a Government system.  Is this a hacker who has taken my phone number and routed it through this number making it possible to pick and chose my calls?  This is something I don't know.

I have been getting call  from #  985-789-7626 into my number for the last two hours.  First it was Verison operator and later MCI wanting me to accept charges from a Jerry Adams.  I explained that I did not know a Jerry Adams, but calls continued to come in on my line.
I have reported it to my carrier.

Keep getting calls from this number and asking for my credit card no. Like calls from someone in jail. But you cannot call this number back. Its a Veeizon Wireless phone

I've gotten several calls from this number on my Government-issued cell phone, usually very late at night (After midnight).  A recorded voice tells me I have an urgent message and prompts me to enter my credit card information. An obvious scam, should be investigated by law enforcement.

I get about 8 calls a day, i can't answer during work, they leave no message.
