They told me they were going to reduce my interest rates - that they were from the Card Center. After asking me a couple of non-descript questions, they asked me to give them my 16 digit credit card acct number. When I refused, the guy got angry and hung up on me.

My elderly mother got this call as well. She said that they asked for me, but I was at work. She said that I needed to contact them immediately or my rates were going up. My mom was very upset. She was thinking that I really did have to call them back right away. It is the first thing she told me when I returned home from work. I suspected that it was a bogus number, so did not bother calling them back. Now that I have read your comments, I am glad that I did not call them.

We spoke to them and they were asking about credit card balances and reducing interest rates. They refused to identify themselves. Very suspicious.
