They called my place of work. I said the name of the agency and IMMEDIATELY they hung up. I tried to call the numbert back and it was bogus, and the little beep beep beep  of "We're sorry........." went as it does with bad numbers.

I don't know why people do this sort of thing, whether it is for "sport" or "scamming" or whatever, but SURELY they realize how stupid this is. Jeez.

Just got a call from this number, when saying "Hello," no one answered.  Who called me?

They are now using 888-000-0000 but when you load it to a telephone #reject list it shows 999-000-0000. Same yahoos !!!!

The caller was on the line after the recorded announcement of my answering machine finished, but they hung up without leaving a message.  I hope that making the calls costs them money!

Got a call from 999-910-0492 at 9:40 PM, with "Name Unavailable." I answered the call but didn't say a word. In about 10 seconds, the line went dead, but nobody ever said a word to identify themselves or their company. I'll report this to the Do Not Call Registry.

999 910 0157..another phone call from these scammers...I pay a technician to fix my computer. They get really upset when you call them scammers, even resorting to return the favour. Hang up on them

999-910-0157 is another number they call from. Far east accent.

don't know who it is.  nothing on the other end.  just let it be open line until phone company plays their hang up response to open lines.

Pretty funny to get a call from a concerned sounding 'windows technical support desk' agent ... since I use exclusively Macs. Try again losers! :) -- by the way, if it's from area code 999, it's a scam.

They have been calling on both of my lines multiple times a day. I finally answered and waited for someone to pick up. They identified themselves as some computer support company. It is a total scam. These are the same criminals that called people posing as Microsoft Tech Support a few weeks back and said they received numerous error messages from your PC and that you need to let them help you debug your computer.

Do not fall for this.There was just a big article in the LA Times about these guys and also in the national news.They will at best fraudulently charge you for services not needed, at worst they will trick you into downloading maleware that will allow them access to your personal data or take control of your system.

this jerk called me today and kept telling me I was having problems with my computer but couldn't tell me how or why I was getting error and warning messages that I actually wasn't getting.  I asked where he was located he said New York...I asked to talk to someone else he said he was only one there he was supervisor....told him I didn't care if he was supervisor and asked where he was originally from and wouldn't tell me.  I told him I would like to talk to someone who spoke better English so I could understand what he was telling me!!!!  He told me to learn to speak better English then talk to him!!!!!! Stupid people.

these idiots called me today.  I just kept asking him questions and pushing his buttons until he said he was going to hack my computer and hung up.  f'n scammers!!

Today my mother got a phone call from some man in Washingston saying our computer is virused he then told my mom to go to the computer so he could help her fix it. My mom said the computer wasnt here and he got rude and said WHY DONT YOU WANT TO FIX IT! then he tried flirting with my mom and said she had a beautiful smile and my mom told him not to call ever again and she hung up.

I've been dodging this number for the last couple days since I knew it wasn't anyone I knew due to the 999 area code. I searched for the number and came across this discussion. Now I want them to call back so I can mess with them.

got call but they said nothing, try and block these guys ringing using your handset, call barr them! look in your instructions booklet although you have to have caller id.

I got two calls from these Anal Cavities. The calls have a two second delay on them, and an irritating echo, and they most definitely have East Indian accents. They also use the number 999-910-0119.
As soon as I tell them that I have a MacBook Pro, they hang up.

I read all the complaints. I have never answered their calls but will next time and use some of the suggestions I read. I just tried and called this number and an operator says  "We're sorry-your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please check the number and try again"

Calls 5 times daily, when you pick up and say hello a computer voice says good bye and they call again a few hours later.

We have received several calls from these "people." Last night I told the guy to take a hike and he immediately called back and said that he wanted me to show him my boobs. I hung up on him and he called back again and when my husband answered he hung up.
I call these humans a big waste of skin....Karma please take them out....

I just got a call from them aswell, 9999 100 152 was on my caller i.d. I told them I was curious to know how i could have an infectect computer when i don't even own a computer!  I rang the number back and only got an answering machine, it was a female voice that spoke English and sounded Australian, the answering machine msg said that i have called Stanley's and they can not take my call at the moment !  I left a nasty msg telling them not to call me again about computer viruses as i do not own a computer, the only computer i have and use is in my work place and that i am into their scam

I just got a call from the socially retarded dipsticks. I also have a n MP3 file on my desktop called 'car aleam'
I just crank up the volume on the (amplified) PC speakers and hold the phone against the speakers..

I received a call today from this number, and thanks to all the complaints that I see online about these scammers, I decided to play along with this scum of the earth. He said that my PC hard drive had a virus. So I took my time ( while watching TV) as I told him that my pc was not turned on yet. I kept asking him to repeat what he was saying ,and told him that I could not find the keys that he wanted to push. I could tell by his voice that he was not happy with me, so after about 9 and a half minutes of me playing his game , he told me to go f*** my mother , and hung up on me.

I just received a call from them.   I asked the caller which company he was calling from, kept saying Computer maintenance, but no specific company.  I hung up.

Received my call tonite from 999-910-0152, caller claimed his name is Martin (strong Indian accent) with a company called Soft PC Care.  Martin indicated my computer was sending error messages to their office.  I asked him where is his office he said, "USA".  I asked him which computer was sending messages to his office and he continually said "my name is Martin from Soft PC Care" and after several seconds of uncomfortable silence was unable to answer my question, he hung up on me.  I will be adding this number to my telecommunications provider to block number and hope and pray it will work.
