Just rec'd this call from Tim who encouraged me to call him back to ensure it was not a scam: 801-512-0605.  I don't intend to respond.

This is a scam from India. The person I talked to told me that I have a problem with my computer, when I told him that I dont have a computer he quickly hung up. I have recieved these call in the past with a female voice and when I answered the the phone she said goodbye...This is a SCAM...Do not give these SCAMMERS any information  because they will get your hard earned money.

Heavy asian accent saying he was calling from Windows.  BS.

yup ITS A SCAM EVERYBODY!!  got the same s*** as everbody else it usually goes like this: phone rings, i answer, a Indian accent man says my computer is infected wants me to download this s***, i say its a scam and he just blurts out saying its not, i continue saying this scam s*** he is doing been going on all over the world calling people to hack their computer/steal credit cards, after telling him this i havent gotten back a call from them again. BTW i have caller id so its a number with no name and its either 999-910-0219 or 000-000-0000.TELL THEM TO F*** OFF AND DONT BE POLITE!! damn telemarketers/scam artisit.

These calls from 999-910-0219 come in as many as five times a day.  I've tried just not answering - they hang up before the machine picks up - and the few times I've answered, there is no response except for one time when a recording said "goodbye."  I don't know what to do about them except to continuing not answering.  Very annoying.

Unbelievabke in this day and age that people can crank call you all day long and no one figures it out. We pay so much for telephone service and the phone company can't connect to this number. I hope the authorites are aware and have a plan to catch these people. I t is sickening getting up to see this number on caller ID.

I feel so bad I accused my nephews girlfriend for calling unavailable and assumed thaat was her too. When she couldn't reach him sems like when it began. THose sorry SOBs never say anything when we answer. Is the Do not call list a possible catalyst

Received a call from this number just now.  After I said "Hello" twice, a recorded voice said, "Goodbye" and hung up.  (It did sound a bit like, "You die" but I'm pretty sure it was really goodbye. :-)

Fake "Windows Service Center" scam. Put him on for a little while, got tired of it, and hung up. Told him I'm a linux guy anyways.

Credit card debt callers?? I get several of those and have no
credit card debt.  I've had 3 in 2 days and no one answers me. One of them waited a moment then after I said hello a 2nd time they did a sing-songy "good-bye" and slammed it in my ear. Really fine people there.

So is this a scam? If I complain, I'll get more calls???

Received call and did not answer.   Glad I did not.

I receive calls from this number constantly.  I am on a Do Not Call list and I have filed a complaint.  The guy says he is from the Service Department of Windows Operating System.  I tell him I will file a report, to quit calling and He says "Do whatever you want"  I have said "I do not have a computer" and he says "impossible" and hangs up.  I have a plan for him the next time he calls and it involves a loud piercing sound...  The guy sounds like he is from India.

This number calls about 3 times a week.  Normally no ones there, but to they said that they were microsoft and that my computer had a Internet Virus, and wanted me to go to my computer so they could have me look at the problem.  I told them I didn't believe that he worked for Microsoft and that I would report him to the Attorney Generals Office (which I plan to do) since I am on a do not call list for telemarketers.  This did not stop him and he kept insisting that I go to my computer.  I hung up.

this telephone number has called numerous times.  I'd like to know who the caller is -- the cid comes up as name unavailable.  Could it be a political call?  I tried calling back but received no answer, and then another call came through with the message ' number invalid'.  HELP would be appreciated.  It's starting to freak me out.  Thanks.

They have called numerous times and everytime I answer i get a recording that says "goodbye". What in the heck?

I received a call on my cell phone from 1-999-910-0219, a female voice like on a recording, said
"You Die" and hung up, a little bit unnerving.

A guy named Ryan with an East Indian accent called saying he was from PC-Fix.  He told my husband his laptop had sent out an emergency signal that it was infected and needed assistance.  My poor husband is not computer savvy and gave the guy access.  I came in and shut down the operation mid-stream and now have to re-format the computer.  
DO NOT trust this number!!!!

Two days in a row this number has called me claiming to be windows tech support from Utah.  Even after I told him I knew it was a scam he kept insisting he wasn't.  The phone number was 999-910-0219

Attempts to lure me into installing software, and this guy tells me that my computer is infected. Scam.

What are the police going to protect you from? I am sure they have more important things to do then to fly to India an investigate a phone scam. Sheesh.

I could barely understand a word he was saying, first of all.  I gathered that he was supposedly from Windows and claimed to be getting error reports that could indicate that my computer was at risk.  He wanted me to go to my computer so he could "show me" these error messages.  I told him "no", and he asked if he could call back at a better time.  I told him I had no idea who he was, and that I had never received unsolicited calls from Windows tech support before, and he hung up.

I just read that 999 may be a mexico location, (but also it is a url ). At any rate it is not ms os.

wow i spelled and  typed badly above,oops. apparently I can't block a satelite or computer number  like this on my phone, even though i have call blocking. Like i said it is not a normal phone system number.

I got a call too, picked up by answering machine, unintelligable. However, it sounded like it could be a disarganised call center,but more like kids screaming in the background. Not professional at all. My impression is it is a scam, probably organized criminals calling off continent via computer (hence the 999 code) I am blocking the number right now.I would report  it to law enforcement but I have tried that in the past and nothing is what it claims to be , including protection from them.
Whi can read this really really vague and dim code at bpottom? geez
