They keep calling me too. Don't understand what is the point if they just hang up, and don't even speak to you.   So, what is the deal?

I am getting the same calls! Always an Indian, that i can barely understand, telling me that it is not a sales call, but claims they are from PC support, and the previous one told me Microsoft Windows Support.
They have called from several different phone numbers, this one was particularly from new york and the guys name was David.

caller claimed to be from windows support and they were aware my computer has a serious problem and will soon crash! I said I was on my mobile and was in a shop . The caller with a heavy Indian dialect the said please turn on your computer. I am not near my computer --- You must turn on your computer at once!  I then hung up.

I didn't get to the phone in time, so dialled 1471 to re-dial (should have listened to the number I know but I didn't).  Ended up apologising to the person at the other end because of  course I had dialled 999 and got the emergency services.  So sick of these type of calls.

This isn't the first time i've had calls from here... The woman indicated that she was a "Microsoft support agency" and that's bull as far as i'm concerned... But, i thought i'd sting it along to see what they were after... She wanted me to sit in front of my PC, open the "Run" dialogue box and then type in eventvwr, this in turn opened     the windows event viewer (windows XP) She was got me to click on the 'applications' and was interested in the amount of "Error" messages i had, to which i told her i had a few, I was then passed over to a 'male' supervisor who asked what the problems where. When i told him that the errors were down to a program i had intentionally disabled he hug up. I would love to know what there intentions are :-) But nothing surer, it's a con, or a scam of some sort... (or perhaps worse??)
