what the are doing is using a redialer and going through numbers that aren't listed or don't belong to anyone , or maybe they do.   in other words not even their own phone numbers.    That's why you don't get the number the call originated from,  just the number it goes through.  They are ripping off whoever that phone number belongs to and if it doesn't belong to anyone they are ripping off the phone companys  by having a computer generate a phone number use it and don't get billed for it!  That's why you can't call them back.

someone from starnet paete has beencalling and leaving threatening messages for my 91 yr old fathr. threatening him , telling him he needs to call his attorney, that the state offices are looking for him..something about his social security number. telling him it appears he is running from something! My father passed away..so dont think he is running anywhere to fast!

I am also on the do-not-call list and these rude people keep calling me, Starnet-Paete.  They have called me oon a few different numbers.  The latest on is 352-653-1233.  They asked for me(wrong pronounciation) and I asked if this was about 2% interest on my home loan.  He said "No ma'am this is regarding the vacation package I ordered.."  I said I didn't order a package and he promptly hung up.  When I called back it said this person was on the phone and then it said there is a problem and I got a busy signal.

PAETEC STARNET is a VOiP provider and anyone using this particular VOIP vs. landline would have this Caller ID.  So, it's probably your grandmother calling to let you know she's fallen and can't get up....

Yes they called my phone a few times. It shows up as Starnet Paetec also. They left a message on my phone looking for someone and stating that they have a court order and are scheduled to either come to my house or job to issue it. LMAO...Yeah Right!

STARNET PAETEC ... thank goodness for caller ID. I, too, am on the Do Not Call List yet every single night, up until 9pm, we continue to get calls about timeshare sales (which we do not own or exchange), fundraisers, charities (which I understand may be exempt from the DNCL - not sure), but I have to agree that it's down right annoying to look up and see a number, name, or organization that you do not recognize nor do you want to acknowledge.  Tired of all this nonsense; please just leave people alone. If they want or require your services, we will contact you! End of rant :)

This number has been on my caller ID numerous times and never leave a message.  I am also on the Do not call list.  If this is sales, I guess they think it does not apply to them or are too stupid to realize that it does.  I will pick up if I am home next time and then report them as calling a DNC person.

They are selling an alternative supplier of electricity.  Their claim is that they can save you money on your electric bill but don't supply many details.

There is soo many marketers and scam artists out there trying to get info. My brother-n-law is ticked at them too. He told one of them off also.

The other number that bothers me too is a false number probably from another country: 000-000-0000(I don't know how they pulled that one off) and they call me every day too!!!!

The guy called me this morning, after calling everyday during the afternoon when we weren't at home.  He wanted me to change the electricity rate from the fixed one my local provider has to their variable rate for transmission.  I was pleasant and told him I wouldn't change until I could read all the info the guy got angry, yelled and then hung up on me.  With that kind of behavior I would not change if they paid me!!!!!  Who did he think he was he was to try and get me to switch, but after I said send it in writing to raise his voice then hang up on me, no way!

My caller ID says Bayonne NJ for this number. He was looking for "John Smith...I mean, John Davis...." I should have kept in on the line a little longer to find out more information but I get annoyed at these calls.

Yes they want you to switch your Energy Provider or something. They keep calling my house even though we have told them not to and informed them we are on the DO Not Call List. Mustang is right, just delete and do not pick up! They will not let you end the call...
