I was trying to find contact info for HDI because I had gotten correspondence from them as recently as fall 2011. I have a dated contract from them 2-20-2010 which is supposedly after they received a judgement in CO.
I did receive an analysis from them and had several people contact me who were interested in my business but never sold my business as no one could secure financing.
Tried calling you but you were out and the person they forwarded me to had no idea what I was talking about.

Got a call from this number. Let it go to voice-mail. Someone named "Jim Kilroy" asked me to call him about whether I would sell my business if the price was right. Unknown person and ridiculous question!
laura 2011-06-06 20:41:20 Unknown
Answered after 2 rings, got a recording apologizing for calling the wrong number
rav 2011-06-06 20:41:20 Unknown
Left a message on voice mail. "James Kilroy with "HDI Consulting". Represent buyers in searches to purchase businesses around the country. Feel we have a buyer that might be interested in your location in the ______ area. Wanted to see if it would be something you would consider if the price were right."
Didn't mention what kind of business looking for or why they would be calling at odd hours on personal voice mail instead of at work. Very strange. Silly question. Who wouldn't consider selling something "if the price were right"? Don't know if a scam or not, but sure has all of the makings of one.

Got a call from this number tonight. The computer generated call stating right away it was a wrong number and asking me to call ---- to be removed from their calling list. This sounds like a scam to get you to call a number where they charge you by the second or some such nonsense. Beware.

HDI Consulting, Arsis Advisory Group, Bridgepoint Business Advisers, and Bizbuy132.com are all part of an integrated scam system, and just part of the many sock puppet business entities created by Ty Tymkovich, Sam Levine, David Silverman, and Justin Davis. On 12/18/09 the Attorney General of Colorado filed a motion charging them with defrauding over 700 small business across the US over the last 3 years.
If you have done any business with any of these companies or individuals, including Corporate Acquisitions Group and Global Acquisitions, please immediately contact the Colorado AG at 303-866-4500.

Did anyone notice this post is from HDI? We were scammed $4,400. We want to know if anyone else has had this happen? We would like to talk to about about potential action.
Bob / Honolulu 2011-03-23 23:21:45 Unknown
These people are a total scam operation.. also check Corporate Acquisitions Group in Aurora CO. who are the same people who have huge judgements against them.
Jake 2011-02-08 20:11:30 Unknown
Ty Tymkovich, Rick Webber, Adam Smith...apparently all the same individual. We were cold called one night with the hot news that a supposed interested buyer wanted to buy our business. Received emails from the above mentioned names. Got real suspicious and traced back the IP #s, all 67.190.89.124
Ty, Rick and Adam, are you the real Slim Shady?
Candy 2010-11-15 19:00:32 Unknown
It is a total scam

Total scam.
08/05/2010
DENVER ? Colorado Attorney General John Suthers announced today that an Arapahoe County District Court judge has ordered Tyrone E. Tymkovich (DOB: 12/30/1977) of Aurora to pay $160,000 after he violated a Feb. 18, 2010 order barring him from soliciting businesses as a broker.
According to the contempt judgment, Tymkovich admitted to continuing to solicit businesses using the alias ?Adam Smith? for a New Jersey based company, HDI Consultants. The contempt judgment permanently bars Tymkovich from continuing any solicitation or sales of his broker services. Tymkovich also admitted to failing to make proper disclosures while acting as a business broker, including that ?the likelihood of (Tymkovich) selling a business is less than one out of a hundred based on past performance? and ?that [Tymkovich?s] company has generated more than $2.8 million in revenue from monies collected for valuations, yet it has earned less than $100,000 from actual sales of businesses.?
The Office of the Attorney General filed a lawsuit against Tymkovich, and Sam Levine (DOB: 2/1/1967) of Castle Rock on suspicion that they, through their two Englewood-based businesses, defrauded more than 700 businesses in Colorado and other states between July 2006 and September 2009. According to the complaint, Tymkovich, Levine or their employees at Englewood-based Corporate Acquisitions Group and Englewood-based Global Acquisitions Group would approach small businesses and inform them that either buyers were interested in acquiring their firms or their businesses could be sold. Tymkovich, Levine and their employees are accused of convincing more than 700 businesses in Colorado and other states to allow them to conduct an appraisal of their business for $5,000. Of the $5,000 Tymkovich and Levine?s businesses collected from their clients, only about $1,000 of the fee was actually devoted to completing the appraisals.
Tymkovich and Levine also are alleged to given the clients a money-back guarantee in the event of no sale occurring. However, Tymkovich and Levine only followed through when a business complained to either the Better Business Bureau or the authorities, according to the complaint.

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! do not do any business with these people! Especially if Ty Tymkovich is involved. I my opinion.

I also got a phone message from james Kilroy. He used a phone number 908-795-1608.
He also said he had a buyer for my water treatment business.
All I got was a phone message and have not had a return call since.
NOT CREDIBLE - In my opinion.

Jim Kilroy is calling WI. Called in last evening, left a # 908-795-1608; HDI Consulting. Strange how he called my home #, which I used briefly in the beginning before I had a store front, back in 2004. Knew it was too general: your type of business in your area. Sorry to hear so many have been taken. Thankful for so many posted comments! Isn't being in business for yourself hard enough without these things !?

I got as far as the webinair several things seemed fishy then I waited. At the end they Informed me that they wanted my credit card to charge the $3900 appraisal to "only if I was accepted into there program". If I was to provide my own appraisal I would have to submit it first then they would decide if I was accepted. SO the information I gave them would be enought to accept me into the program and order the $3900 appraisal but it was not enough to accept me into the program if I was ordering my own. THE BS meter hit 10.
BLOCKED CALL!

Same story - am a sole proprietor consultant so there isn't much to sell. Left a different number - 908-329-2097 (Jersey). Thanks for your posts. The $4k+ for an appraisal sounds like the target.

Good for you for researching them first. They need to be exposed and pay the consequences.
