Yes, got message on work phone for my boss.  Said he was an Officer from the Federal Crime Enforcement Network and that if my boss did not contact them, he would face charges or something to that effect.  Guy had an accent too.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

"Officer" David Johnson called, from the Federal Crime Enforcement. His number 202-459-6103. Said he only wanted to speak to me, emergency! Had my wife call back at that number from an unlisted number at my office, man answered as Federal Crime Enforcement. She hung up. He called back almost immediately and said his name was "Deputy" David Marshall! Wife said this was a bad connection and hung up.

Do not believe them. They are all scammers from India. IRS would never call anyone. check at IRS website.

Do you realize that most of these callers are not in the US?  All the numbers are spoofed.   This isn't a case of not doing anything, its a case of tracking them down, which isn't CSI on TV, it isn't going to get solved in a hour. Foreign country's do not always co-operate either.  Do yourself a favor and get a call blocking device and block the calls. You can get a nice one with around 1500 or better blocking capacity for around 60.00.

I keep getting calls from these Fake Federal Crime Investigation officers who can barely speak  English. They threaten to arrest me or take severe action against me if I don't call back.
These calls have been coming for months now at a frequency of about 3 to 4 calls per week.
Impersonating a Federal officer is a CRIME, yet I don't know why , despite ALL the complaints and media coverage the Feds are doing nothing to stop this menace.
In the beginning it was scary but not it is downright infuriating!

I got a call from 510-746-1100 and was told that a complaint has been filed against me and there may be an arrest warrant out. I need to call 202-459-6103 and talk to an officer to settle the case. I called and it was a scam artist!!!

PLEASE BEWARE of these criminals.

This is a fake number. Not need to worry or call back. The person speaks Gujarati language which is from the state of Gujarat in India. Actually, the best way to deal with this is keep calling them back and speak something that they can not understand. Anything, if you speak any language other than English, Hindi or Gujarati, use that one. If not, just say something that does not make sense and keep repeating it. Just have fun with them! Call them with unknown numbers like 10 times.
