I keep getting these calls, it says "political survey" but I am not even in the US! It goes straight to voicemail now but it is still annoying that I can't get them to stop calling and leaving the stupid message "we may call back later"

Have had three calls from this number today, three yesterday.  I am so over all these telemarketers, surverys, etc..  I should not have to remove my telephone service in order to have peace and quiet in my own home.  Have tried to call the number back to ask them not to call me, but of course, you cannot call them.  I will be filing a complaint tomorrow with FTC.

fraud  scammers  from the  202  area  code:

some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign  countries !!!!

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  free  money / scam  giveaways / humane  society  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you....just  provide  you  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

Yes, I've received 2 calls from this number on my cell phone.

Sunday 6:30pm: An automated message that started as soon as I said "hello"... "This is a political survey. Will you be voting in the upcoming Presidential election?"... pause... (I grunted "NO!") ... We may call back later. Thank you".

Monday 11:15am: my phone was on silent so I missed the call but got the same message "This is a political survey We may call be later. Thank you".

So I take it that perhaps as a Canadian, I'm eligible to vote in the US elections..   =)

This is a political survey calling my cellphone repeatedly, and I can't find how to make it stop.

I don't answer the calls you make to my land line so now you irritate me more by calling my cell!  What jerks!

What kind of creep are you guys/gals????????  Please stop.  Or is that too tame a request?????????

18/04/2012 Depuis 3 jours je reçois un appel par jour provenant du numéro 1 202 599-8726. Je ne connaîs pas la provenance et je n'y ai pas répondu. Je n'ai pas de boîte vocale donc pas de message. Je demeure au Québec, Canada donc c'est un appel longue distance. Je vais bloquer le numéro dans mon cellulaire, évidemnent si je peux et que les appels continues.

I just recieved my 4th call in last 3 days from this number - they don't leave any message.
Calls are receivedat all times during the day with the latest occurring around 9:00 at tnight.

How do we report this to get it stopped?

Yesterday I got a call from this number at 6:41 pm, was busy and didn't answear but a few minutes ago they called again! Didn't leave message, I won't answear and now that I am reading this comments I am not going to answear!!!!!! So tired of weird calls!!!

Political Survey call.

Liar, liar pants on fire!  Since I spoke to his office yesterday & then filed a complaint with the FCC I got another call at 8:31 last night!  SAME NUMBER, PUBLSRVY2012, SAME VOICE.  Saying this is Warren Chisum running for railroad commissioner asking for your vote.   He certainly won't get mine now.

Called Sunday! Called twice yesterday. We do not answer any "Political Survey" calls. Caller ID says Political Survey but their msg begins: "Small Business owners... " then I hang up. Not time for such foolishness.

Note to caller: We're not answering any calls such as this.

this says it is from Warren Chisum, GOP in TX running for Railroad commissioner...has called three times even on the day of the Lord, Sunday!  Mercy!  Will not allow interaction, does not allow call backs.  Terrible!  Leave my family alone.

They just called here, first time.
I gave them the 'three tones' that will tell their puter it's a non-working number.

UPDATE:  Received another call today at 11:26AM, left a partial message on voicemail. Still stating "This is a public survey call, we may call back later."

I spoke to Mr. Chisum's campaign office & they said it is not them, they are trying to get to the bottom of it.

I am reporting it to the FCC.

I am marking it as unknown, because I do NOT believe it is either Political or Survey!

Called 4-15-2012 @ 18:36, trying to conduct survey about upcoming gubernatorial primary election.  Was a sponsored advertisement for Warren Chisum from the sound of the recording left on machine.

A recording claiming to be Warren Chisum running for Texas Railroad Commission.  Ask if I was a registered voter.  When I said Yes.  Said we may call back later & hung up.  GGGGrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I won't be answering again & I will contacting his office to verify that his campaign is making these calls.  Mr. Chisum is currently a Texas House of Reps member.  I do NOT know if this is him calling or another "spoofing" number.

Called at 7:30 on a SUNDAY evening.

WTH????  They're called me 4 times in the last 12 hours.

This is the fourth time they have called. I didn't answer, but they finally left a message saying, "This is a political survey. We may call back later."

I received the second call from this number today.  When they leave a message, they begin speaking as soon as the phone picks up, so I don't hear the whole message, just a recording saying, "We may call back later."
