I got a call from this number and a lady with an India accent told me she was from the grant department and I told her she was full of s*** and hung up on her.  I got a call yesterday (6-12) first from as guy with an accent from India telling me that I was
given a grant of $9,200.00 and gave me a confirmation of the grant and told me to call 202-738-2426 which I did just to play
around and upon answering the phone as "The United States Grant Department" by an American male by the name of Brian
wanted to know my name very business like telling me that I had to go to the pharmacy get a green voucher to activate etc...
I then told him he was full of s*** but I did find out the company that issued the numbers Bandwidth.com and when I submitted the number to the AUP violations unit they e-mailed me back and told me that the number and associated services are provided by Skype and gave me directions on how to inform them of the situation.   Things like this piss me off especially when
I think of  the poor elderly people out there or someone that is nieve(spelling) to think this is real!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got a call from these guys. Same go around, I won a 7000 grant because I paid my taxes blah blah blah. Lady had a thick Indian accent and there was a lot of background noise. She actually had the gall to ask for my bank account number or a debit card nnumber. the 3rd option to get the money is...Western union! I'm sure Jeff Daniels is a nice enough guy, but I don't think I'll be calling him.

He just called me again - for the 4th time in a week. I told him to put us on their do not call list and he said they don't have one. So I told him not to call us again and he told me to shut up and listen to him. Then he asked me if I was married or single. Is there a way to block or report this idiot?

Was told that I was going to receive $7000 in Grant money via Western Union.  When I asked the guy to remove my number from the list, that it is a scam and I want nothing to do of it, he started cursing at me.  I disconnected the call and he called back 3 times and continued to curse.  Ended up blocking the number.

^Same experience as above. Same lies. here's a little more info. Their accents do not match their names at all. I'm sorry mr india man I highly doubt your name is jeff daniels or sam williams. no way. I worked at a call center before I know what determines the call as a scam or not. Besides telling me to bring my phone and cash to a pharmacy is too creepy and sketch. I played along to get as much info as I could to catch them in their lies. They will ask for your name, address, age and how long it will take you to get to the nearest convenient store or pharmacy. They will tell you that you need to buy a green dot get it back card and put $250 on it in cash. They will tell you that once you have done that you need to go to the Western Union and give them your grant approval ID # (mine was a letter and three numbers). They will tell you that it will be given to you in cash through the pharmacy and that they want to make sure you get your money as soon as possible. They will ask you how you will spend the money and that you need to be on hold with them for 20 minutes while they transfer the money in 4 separate deposits to the union. I'm sorry but this is a scam.

I was called and some guy with an Indian accent says I qualified for a Federal grant for 7000.00 dollars because I have paid my bills and filed my taxes. He gave me a voucher number,  AN106, and another number to call; 202-738-1731. I was to contact Jeff Daniels at the next number, and I did, and Jeff Daniels sounded like another Indian (India). He said for me to receive the grant I would have to go to the Nearest RiteAide , call him back, and buy a money voucher pack ($200.00) and then they would send the $7000.00 to me. I told him that this sounded like a scam and that I am not in the practice of sending money to terrorists. He denied my accusations and said he was working for the government. I then hung up the phone.

I received a call from 202-738-1731 and they said that I won free grant money.  Told them that  I was not interested. I then called the department of Education where I have student loans and they said that they do not ask for zip codes nor do they say that I'm  one picked for free grant money based on taxes.  So when these people call do not give them any information personal or otherwise because they can not access any information that's on your tax returns as it is confidential and IRS has very strict rules about any of their employees giving out information as the employee can go to federal prison and pay a fine.

Received a call from this number stating that I was entitled to $7,000 that the US Government is giving me free of taxes as a GRANT,  To go to the local Western Union to collect.  When I became suspicious
and questioned  the who and what they told me I would have to give $238 security deposit thru Western Union in order to receive the $7000.   I told them I would be checking this out with my local police department and they disconnected.  They sounded Arabic with a deep accent.

said I was chosen because I had paid my taxes on time.  They did know my name and address. Asked me for my zip code.  I replied that I was not interested in this.  She (lady representative with foreign accent) stated why did i not want this grant money.  I hung up the phone.  There was a lot of noise in the background.
