also, only had this new number for about a week... only places that have my number are monster.com and the phone provider.. so they are gettin the numbers from one of those

just recieved a call from this same number. they identified themselves as the U.S treasury department.... very heavy middle eastern accent. guys name was jon parker..... BS

I just received the call today and when I called the number they gave me with the confirmation number the man hung up on me, so I tried to call back a second time and couldn't understand a word they were saying sounded like two people trying to talk at the same time so I called a third time and explained to the man that I couldn't understand the last two I had talked to so he was like who did you talk to I said I don't know he said omg you gave out you confirmation code and don't even know who it is I said yes he said I needed to go to western union within the hour and send him $210 I said I cant he said why not I said cause I don't have the money he said when you get the money go and send me the $210 and call me from western union and you will have the money in 30 to 45 minutes. He said do you know why you have to pay the money I said no he said to pay to have my name off the list. I told my husband it was a scam why do you pay for grant money? so I look up the number and its a scam I have been gotten before by a scam and dont want to do it again. The guy told me his name was demarous williams.

They asked for $249 through western union & I would recieve $7000

This number called me & they already had my account number in which I had i change it & thank God nothing happened. These people are frauds, I called back like 4times in private & they are mad I keep caling them scammers, those b*****ds. Do not trust these people!!

I received the same call from a # that had all 0. It was a Middle Eastern man on the other end he was explaining to me how I was selected to recieve 7000 dollars in 45 min. then he gave me another phone # to call it was the 202-738-1867 number. So when he hung up I decided to google the number and I am glad I did.

I received the same call from this # and i had already send $950 through western union first i send $250 and after that they ask me another $400 for IRS tax but still they ask me money again so, i told them to cancel my file i don't want this money i want the money back. They ask me for cancellation fee for $200 after that they will refund the money but i din't received the hole money i just received $450 only.

I do not mean any harm or disrespect to followers of Islam. I call things as I see them, and am not afraid to speak my mind. My comment to that idiot was not directed at anyone but him, and does not imply that all Middle Easterners are terrorists. There are a lot of unsuspecting, innocent people getting scammed by these dirt-bags. So if I offended them, I don't give a damn. But I didn't mean to offend anyone else. Do not send cash to anyone in promise of a greater amount in return. Only scammers operate this way.

My girlfriend, Julie, received a call from a phone # that showed up as all zeros. When she answered, a woman with a heavy Middle Eastern accent told Julie that she was one of 1700 people selected by the U.S. govt. to receive a $7000 grant, because of her lack of criminal record and upstanding citizenship. But that the money could only be used for good things, like furthering her education, home improvements, a new car,etc. Then they told her that the money cannot be used for drugs, drinking, gambling, etc. (These people are not very smart. The govt. doesn't grant money based on the reasons they gave, and would not monitor what you did with it anyway.) They asked how she would like to receive the money: On her credit card, direct deposit to her bank account, or Western Union. Playing along, she chose Western Union. They told her to go to the nearest Western Union and bring $250 and a photo ID. The U.S. govt. does not operate this way. Told her to call the number in question from W.U. parking lot for further instructions. This is an old scam. do not give account #'s to anyone without investigating first. Julie had received numerous hang ups from a private # for 3 days prior to this call. Wow, they had the nerve and audacity to call back as I'm writing this, at another attempt at scamming her. I told him to strap a bomb to himself and blow himself up in the name of Allah. Basically, these people are terrorists who hate, and want to rip off who they consider to be "stupid Americans."

I just received a call from this number, and she said they were a govt. agency and because of my outstanding record, I have been awarded a grant in the amount of $7000, they gave me this # to call back and speak with their SR manager with a conf # JS201 to verify approval, the person on the phone had a very heavy accent, and when I asked her name she said Jenifer Smith......hmmm, needless to say I did not call back

Its spelled Audacity. They called me too and had a very heavy accent, mumbled alot-almost stammered through the whole conversation. I dont like how they have my information.

I have been getting calls from this company 3-4 times a day just within the past two days. Of course I do not answer. When I do, they don't say anything and just hang up. So the one time I called back just to see what company it is someone finally picked up mumbled the company's name and then proceeded to hit and hold a button key in my ear while saying "hello" with a very thick accent. So rude. Has anyone gotten the name of this company? I am not about to call back again to get buttons pushed in my ear.
I am also going to have the number blocked through my phone company, but I would still like to know the name of the company so I can get my number taken off this random list.

I just rcvd a call from this number mind you they have been calling me for the last three days and up to four times a day.  So, today I answer their call, the young knuckelhead with a thick accent states his name and mumbles, mumbles, I have no clue what he has said.  "I tell him to please take my number off of his list" and he has the odosity to tell me, "no, no I wont.. just listen to me".  I told him that he has lost his freak'n mind and hung up on him.  I will definitely be filing a complaint against this company.

I usually ask whose calling when they don't introduce themselves and they hung up. I'm glad I asked after reading these comments...

Kristin- first off, sorry you lost your money. Anytime someone asks you for an advance fee - for a loan, gift, prize, lottery, anything - it's a scam. Please also remember that Western Union is CASH. Untraceable CASH. Please tell anyone that will listen - it's a scam.

So I followed along with what they said and it seemed ligit and I sent 947 dollars through western union and they said with in 45 minutes I would be reimbursed plus the seven grand but I didn't get anything and the number is no longer accepting calls !! Fraud !!! I have never felt so stupid . How could people do this ?!? I hope they get caught and get what coming to them !
