Got a call from this number. Pushed the #1 and the guy started talking about consolidating credit card debt. I told  him I didn't have any credit card debt, and he hung up. And I'm on the no-call list.

Received call about lowering credit, blah blah blah.
Anyone know how to track down phone number to get an address?  Perhaps find a way to return the favor?

Caller ID "Pacifictel" same credit card reduce your rate story/scam.  When I pushed "1" for a live person the phone line went dead.

I have received several calls from this number and asked not to be called by them.  The calls still come.  My number is on the national Do Not Call register.  Any ideas how to stop the calls?

I'm happy I looked here, I don't have credit cards.... Maybe I should pick-up this call, and tell them, I have no credit cards....

They called me six days in a row.  I answered on the 7th with "Dallas Police Fraud Section.  May I help you?"  They hung up and never called back.

This number "Card Services" calls me every other day.  I do not wish to be contacted by them.

Thanks for letting us know about calling them back to be put on their "Do Not Call list". It was just as you said. Pressed the button to be placed on the list and now will wait to see if they ever call again.  (See more below.)

Followed what "Very Annoyed" mentioned in their post. Called the number on my caller id, was offered a way to select "put on their do not call" list. Now to see if they call back. I am on the Federal and State Do Not Call List. I will report them, just as I always do in such cases. If they do I have the number for my state's Consumer Affairs right by my phone.

Just got a call from this number. They are now being forwarded to 888-CALL-FCC

Think this is the 5th or 6th call with the same message left on my machine but all from different phone numbers, give us a break would ya. I can only block so many calls and have to erase all of them to start all over again blocking their darn calls. We are on the DNC lists but they don't work all the time. This may be weird but this week our phone has been ringing off the hook with these calls and then all of a sudden, you get silence for a week or two and then they all start up again and call and call to no end. This must be the week for them all to call again.

the calls are as described, message to lower cc rates then hang up on you when you mention do not call list. report them.

Continues to call,,,,no message.

Called this afternoon and left no message.

This another company harasse you by calling continually!! the State AG Office isn't any HELP!! if I could get the address I will go out and stop them from harassing me!

I have been making complaints about these calls to the Washington State AG office! Rod want to be the Governor for the State of Washington! I have never had any good luck with his Office! the people that work for him does what He tell them to do and that is NOTHING! NO VOTE FROM ME!!

I got a call on my work line yesterday from this number I did not answer and no message. Within a few seconds my cell phone rang and it was the same number. When I got home I saw they had called my home phone at the same time. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!  NO ONE HAS MY WORK NUMBER AND YOU HAVE TO KNOW THE CODE TO DIAL IT!!

the do not call list is a waste of time.the phone company will not block 800 and 900 numbers.several companies are now selling phones that will block all numbers including the calls with no information showing.this is not an ad! if you really want to stop these robo diallers and debt collectors that are calling the wrong address, get off your a** and and buy a call blocking phone like i did.

Yesterday was the first day our number was active... the phone company told us it had been inactive for MORE than a year.  Within hours, 206-496-0809 called with a "Final offer" to reduce credit card rates based on a "Yearly review of credit".  We know this call is not for us, because we have not given our number to anybody.  Doubtful it is a legitimate offer, since a "yearly credit review" of the previous holder of our phone number would show that they had moved more than a year ago.  

There was no option to be removed from this caller's call list.  Sure enough, they called again today at 5:18pm... 25 hours later and we receive yet ANOTHER 'final call'.

We have put our number on the DNC registry and will keep complaining to the DNC Complaint Center about this recorded message telemarketer.  DNC Complaint Center website states, "You may also file a complaint if you received a call that used a recorded message instead of a live person (whether or not your number was on the Registry)."

We were harrassed by telemarketers for months at our previous number, ever since we moved into this area code and unfortunately inherited a number frequented by multitudes of telemarketers.  We tried and tried to stop these recorded calls, asked to be removed from the call lists, etc.  We have an unlisted number and are on the Do No Call list.  We have since changed our number and seem to have inherited a new batch of telemarketers, although so far there are fewer of them.  These crooks are seemingly inescapable.  Since the problem isn't going away, I have found some other solutions. I have discovered the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 (TCPA). People, it pays to be diligent, keep logs of all the calls and your requests to be removed. Then initiate a phone trace and find out who has actually been calling... in my experience calls from various area codes lead to the same call center because the dialers use pseudo-numbers. Once you know who has been harrassing, you can sue (within the four-year statute of limitations) and they are liable for damages of $500-$1500 PER PHONE CALL. This applies to debt collectors also. Hit them in the wallet, that is apparently the only way to win this battle. Call your phone service provider to find out how to initiate call trace. Here is more info on the TCPA:

This number called while I was out and left no message.  I assume it was a telemarketer/scammer.

I received a call from this number.  Where do you report this number to?  How annoying that noone picks up when you call the number back.

I was getting calls every day  and sometimes twice a day from the people wanting to sell you a maintenance contract for your car.  I finally started going to the "do not call website every time they called and filled out a complaint.  If they called twice a day, I filled out a report twice a day. It's a short report and after you fill it out once it fills it out for you from them on out.  I did it for a month.   Finally they put them out of business and the calls stopped.  

Now it is these people and I'm doing the same thing.  Every time they call I go to the do not call website and fill out a report.  Every time, every single time.

Keep getting calls from 206-496-0809.  They hang up if I pick the phone up.

This company is called Concord Financial. The person on the line would not tell where he was located and then hung up on me when I asked why he was spoofing (changing the name that shows on your called ID) me with a Boost Mobile number.  I called Boost which is a part of Sprint and filed a complaint.  This is my third call from this number in a week.  Also uses 208-300-7844 and 702-318-1523
