I received the same phone call on my cellular phone and at my mothers home where I no longer live. They seem to call me from random numbers all over for the past few years coincidentally every time I have my credit run. I have officially reported them to the FCC since they have been investigating this type of fraud for years. I blocked the number, filed a complaint and I ENCOURAGE you to do the same thing to!!!

Here's the link to report them https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

PLEASE REPORT THEM AND GET THESE CON ARTISTS SHUT DOWN.

Process and summons - 206-787-9945 called my job and my home six times in the last two days, 9/24 and 9/25 and left a recorded message and treaten that I had commited fraud and they are calling my Human Resources Dept. to get my correct address and permission to come on my job and give me a summons, or come to my house.  The girl who first called was very ignorant the first day, and then the second day man called back and left his message.  Finally I called the number back and he answered "Can I help you?.  When gave him the case number he said the same thing the girl said.  I asked his name and he gave me one.  I told him what he was doing was illegal and he said it was not.  I asked him for his title and company name and got scared and hung up the phone on me. Then she called back again and said since I wasn't cooperating, this was my final attempt.  "Good Luck In Court" and hung up.

Box 380 Fairless Hills Pa. I'm sure its bogus. She said she would send out the paper about the debt and I was to wait for it. Riggghhhttt.....

I said then I know you're lying because it's 6:00 and what court do you know will get you a hearing in a day.. No validation, no debt. It's that simple.

Validation of debts   [15 USC 1692g]
(a) Within five days after the initial communication with a consumer in connection with the collection of any debt, a debt collector shall, unless the following information is contained in the initial communication or the consumer has paid the debt, send the consumer a written notice containing --

(1) the amount of the debt;

(2) the name of the creditor to whom the debt is owed;

(3) a statement that unless the consumer, within thirty days after receipt of the notice, disputes the validity of the debt, or any portion thereof, the debt will be assumed to be valid by the debt collector;

(4) a statement that if the consumer notifies the debt collector in writing within the thirty-day period that the debt, or any portion thereof, is disputed, the debt collector will obtain verification of the debt or a copy of a judgment against the consumer and a copy of such verification or judgment will be mailed to the consumer by the debt collector; and

(5) a statement that, upon the consumer's written request within the thirty-day period, the debt collector will provide the consumer with the name and address of the original creditor, if different from the current creditor.

(b) If the consumer notifies the debt collector in writing within the thirty-day period described in subsection (a) that the debt, or any portion thereof, is disputed, or that the consumer requests the name and address of the original creditor, the debt collector shall cease collection of the debt, or any disputed portion thereof, until the debt collector obtains verification of the debt or any copy of a judgment, or the name and address of the original creditor, and a copy of such verification or judgment, or name and address of the original creditor, is mailed to the consumer by the debt collector.

(c) The failure of a consumer to dispute the validity of a debt under this section may not be construed by any court as an admission of liability by the consumer.

I got the same call. Said there will be summons sent for two charges of fraud. I told them I spoke to who they say their 'client' is and that their 'client' felt that this was a scam. The lady said well why is it in our office then. The so called client doesn't even service my state. I told the woman I would be more than happy to send her a money order and pay this just to get them to stop calling me just give me the address to send it to. Of course she wouldn't give me the address. I had previously asked for documentation of this so called debt and she said no we do not have time for that we either need to set up payments or get you in front of a judge. She told me the company name is AMG which I can find nothing about. Oh and she first called me from this number which says it's in Seattle Washington then the same lady called me from a Pittsburgh Pennsylvania number. When I called the PA number back of course no one could connect me without a 'case number'. So 15 minutes later I called the "Seattle" number back and same thing. Then I called "Seattle" back a few minutes later and guess who answered the phone. Yep the same lady that had called me from PA not even 30 minutes before.

they called my house for my ex and the turned and called my husband and said the same thing. same thing that they had two charges on both. its so funny I called back and told them that my client would not accept any thing until they sent papers and to stop calling and harassing. they then turn and call back. I then checked the number they called was from a pool company from miami fl. then she called me back asking whats my bond number. if she was in legal she would of know its a bar number not bond. its a scam. she then called me a few foul names and hung up. I hope the law gets them because I contacted them and gave them this number.

They have called two days in a row. Both days I have called back telling them to stop calling me. It's a scam. They are trying to get me to verify my SSN before releasing any information, and have called my patents' home for me as well. All they would say is it pertains to something back in 2007, which I know for a fact is untrue as I have no outstanding bills.

This number is calling my 73 year old mother in law saying I'm going to jail for a payday loan I've never paid. They also started calling me saying they are with CT financial I can't find anything about them. They said if I don't pay now they are sending the complaint to district court and I will need to be at my place of residence between 11-5 to be served. I asked for documentation on the loan and they just started talking about friends names old bank accts that were closed saying that i did check fraud. They also contacted me  year ago with the same tactic and I recall speaking to the same man and woman. She hung up on me both times when I refused to give my last 4 of ss #

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

Yes. If charges were being filed against you, you wouldn't get a phone call warning you about it. If it worked that way, prisons would be very empty places.

Just called my cell phone, it was a woman's voice, saying she was calling from the "Process and Summons Divisions" just as a a previous poster said. Said that charges were being filed in my county. Funny thing, I live in a state that doesn't have counties. Hmmm. I've heard of these calls SO many times, I knew what it was right from the beginning. Not going to bother attempting to call it back, not worth my time.

Same company has called three times with at least two different phone numbers. Last week it was supposedly from FL 321-355-6925. This is a spoofed number, and the intent is to get personal information and money from gullible people who get spooked by their invalid and fraudulent threats. Report the number to your state attorney general office as soon as possible. Do NOT give any information, in fact, it's best to completely ignore the calls other than reporting them to authorities!!
