They called to say they had my computer SID# and they were from Microsoft and wanted to help me get rid of malicious software. I asked for a number to call them back on to verify they were who they claimed to be and found all these complaints. 6/14/2013

This is the 5th number from the same group of people claiming to be Consumer Advantage. Wanted to give me a $500 retail gift card this time (last number last week was a $200 gas card).

Seems to be in San Antonio, TX. Never leaves a message. Other sites say this is a marketing scam asking to add protection to your VISA card. DO NOT give out any personal info to these morons!!

Recieved a call at11:43am Taday from this number. No one talked, and cant call them back!

I had ordered a "free trial" of Acai diet pills and the next day I started getting these telemarketing calls. I just don't answer, my device is set for no ring tone for unidentified calls.

Try NOT to be a sucker your whole life. If you need something go get it, If someone calls you to buy something hung up.... if you needed it, you would have looked for it yourself. Block the phone number, they will suck your accounts dry! ....

of 3 sec of silence. These guys are very creepy.

DONT ANSWER! COMPANY CLAIMING TO BE WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY! THEY ARE A THIRD PARTY PROMO COMPANY WITH YOUR CARD INFO! HANG UP OR REQUEST TO GET YOUR NAME REMOVED!!! I LEARNED THE HARD WAY!

I also said yes at first, DONT DO IT! They charge your card and are not even connected to your credit card company. I reported them as fraud and they claim that they are a third party promo company and you when you say yes they send you subscriptions to magazines for 4 years and all of this stuff written in fine print that you had no idea you even said "yes" to! DONT ANSWER AND DONT SAY ANYTHING!!!

Rec'd call @ 8;05 am, just as I was going out door. pick it up becuz it had a local area code. There was no answer and i asume they just gave up. Came to work check it out on internet found this site, glad i did.

Called saying I was a preferred visa/mastercard customer.  They stated I would get a $500 gas card.  Same as others offered identity theft protection and on-line purchase protection.  I stated I didn't need so the girl hung up.  Geez doubt I get the free gas card.  I NEVER give out my credit card info to anyone!

Calls once or twice a week, never leaves a message. I never answer calls that I do not recognize, especially out-of-state. This is probably some annoying marketing call. From what others say it seems to be a scam.

Calls two - three times a week. I do not answer and they leave no message, must not be important or there trying to retrieve personal info?
Be careful about giving out info, call the company direct to check credibility and set up deals thru them, Visa ect.............. If there is a special deal they will help you, so take control of your own personal business deals so you don't get yourself in a mess!!!!!

I just recieved this call a hour ago and thought it was strange. So i decided to get online to do some research and here i am. It was a guy said he was from Visa. Also told me the phone call was being recorded. It had to do with Credit Card Fraud, and he said that he would like to give me a two week trial for $25,000 secured credit fraud. He ask me if i would give if permission to charge my card $6.?? for the two week trial. I said yes. Also he said he would said me a packet in the mail explaining further details and I would also recieve a $500 gas card for being a preferred Visa card Member. He also asked me if he could charge my card another $5.?? so i can get 50% off online shopping. i said no to that cause i don't do online shopping.

I recieved the call  mon may 4th 2009 at 5:30pm est and the guy stated his name was reuben.

Got a call from this number 4/16.  I don't answer calls if I don't recongnize the number so I sent it to voice mail.  They never left a message.  Thanks for listing this number so that I now know it's some type of marketing call and can add it to my "do not answer list."

I received a call from this number to 4/15 @5:40pm est  I let is go to voice mail.  when i checked the vm it was just static.....  thanks for bloging this number    must be a waste of my time to answer... or minutes!!!!!!!!!!.. thanks

Got a call from this number and they said they were from Visa/Master Card.  Then this strange deep garbled voice came across the line - and the guy said "i don't know where that's coming from, let me call you back" but he hasn't.  He did address me by my first and last name, though, which is scarey!
