Yesterday they did the same to me! They said I will need an 8 Hour Course, 16 Hour Course and a Fire Hazzard ... I spoke with someone by the name of Ms. Torres ! She seems like she's the person running it but don't do it .... It's literally a scam! After they give you the courses, they send you on a bunch of interviews afterwards!

Everyone who has been scammed by First National Career Center...PLEASE make a complaint with BBB (Better Business Bureau) & The Department of Consumer Affairs. I assure you that if you take this step and more people complain, they will be shut down and everyone that has been scammed by them will get their money back.

You have to take the first step and report them. It is the only way to shut them down. You can even do this online, which is very easy to do.

Please do research. You will find that local colleges offer the same courses, but for a much smaller fee and you will not have to worry about whether your credentials are legit or not. Please search online before you go with any agency. They are a scam outfit/referral service. They cannot and will not be able to help you achieve your goals.

They will be shut down eventually. They will reap what they sow!!!!

Do not go!!!!!...you will get scammed...if you already gave them your money, get it back asap...if they refuse to give you your money back, go online or contact the Better Business Bureau(BBB) or the Department of Consumer Affairs of New York(DCA) and make a compaint to them to get your money back...If everyone who has suffered from 1st national career center makes a complaint, they can get shutdown and they have to refund everyones money back. Look up online about a company named Seedco in new york on how they were scamming people as well...many people made complaints to the point that they got taken to court for a law suit for millions of dollars and eventually got shutdown.

I was relayed a message from Ms.T Rhodes through the Better Business Bureau(BBB)that i will receive my full refund check within 28 business days. So I confirmed with the BBB to resolve my complaint using that solution. I spoke to Ms.T Rhodes on Nov.20,2013 and asked her a couple questions about the process of me receiving my refund. What she stated was differently from what the message from (BBB) said. Ms. T Rhodes stated that I have to wait after 28 business days then wait a little more until the check comes in the mail. I have the conversation recorded between us. Its been 28 business days and I have not received my full refund. So i just came from 1st national career center and spoke to Robert Wragge about getting my refund check. He said i have to fill out a refund form then wait 14 business days to receive my check, then after i receive my money, to do him a favor and go online to indeed.com and write that i received my money. Why do i have to wait an additional 14 days if i waited an original 28 days to receive my money???. So i told Robert Wragge why cant he just issue me $392 in cash now and everything will be solved. Robert Wragge says that is not how he does things and that there is a policy he must comply to. I became frustated and told him that he is a scammer and that he needs to give me my money back. Robert Wragge became irrate with me and said he will not refund me my money at all because i called him a scammer and told me to leave his property. Robert Wragge then got in my face, kept putting his fingers in my face as if he was gonna assault me, and kept telling me to leave the property. I told him numerous times to get out of my face and he just would not listen. As i began to leave the office, i saw a soon to be victim, so i decided to warn him about the scamming services 1st national offers. I couldnt finish my conversation with the gentleman because once again Robert Wragge got in my face and told me to leave the property. As i was leaving on the elevator, Robert Wragge threaten to sue me if i deffered his customers away from is business. I left very disappointed but i will not stop until i receive my full refund or see 1st national careet center shutdown. Little does Robert Wragge know that i recorded that entire conversation we had today and him refusing to refund me my money. Its also interesting that when i spoke to Ms.T Rhodes earlier today that she said she doesnt work for 1st national and that she works for a separate company called Urban Vocation, but clearly she does because she is one of the office managers at 1st national. If 1st national is not a scamming business then why be so defensive, why put up signs that say," if you think we are a scam, please leave now". If you run a business that makes 1000's of dollars each day, then you should't have a problem refunding $400 back instead of threatening to sue someone. For someone who says that he is a gentlemen, Robert Wragge is not professional and is not a gentleman at all and i dont think anyone should have him represent you if he is getting in peoples faces. Now i know someone from 1st national is going to read this and tell Robert Wragge, so this is not a threat at all whatsoever, but i suggest to them that they refund my money as soon as possible, redeem themselves for the better of the business, or have to face getting shutdown by many complaints of victims who suffered from them. May God have mercy on their soul.

First of all, I spent $392 for nothing on 08/12/13 to apply for a maintenance position starting from $15-$18 an hour. I am a certified electrician apprentice who obtained all my qualifications from Edison JobCorps Academy in Edison, NJ for FREE!!!!!!...I have my OSHA 10-hour cert, Hilti license cert, NRF customer service cert, all for free. The only thing that I obtained from 1st national was a CPR card that I should of got from redcross for free!!!. I have spoken to a Mr. Younger from the beginning who told me about this "maintenance position" and he never has followed up with me. The maintenance position never existed because when I spoke with a Frank Tolbert who is the placement director at 1st national, told me he doesn't know why the employees there post up these fictitious ads on craigslist. Frank Tolbert took over and it took him well over 2 weeks to find me an interview with Spotless Services Inc in Manhattan, NY. I have saved text messages from Frank Tolbert confirming an interview with Spotless Services Inc. Before I continue, I think that is very unprofessional to conduct business through text messages and I have the proof on how unhelpful Frank Tolbert was. When I arrived at Spotless Services Inc for the "confirmed interview", no one know who I was or better yet, wasn't even expecting me. I spoke to the manager at spotless services and she said she never spoke to frank tolbert or even confirmed for my interview to be conducted. The manager called frank tolbert and spoke to him in front of me telling him how unprofessional he was and to never send another person to spotless services inc. I have still have the saved video recorded conversation between frank tolbert and the manager, also frank tolbert lied as well. The same day I went back to 1st national to make a complaint and I spoke to Robert Wragge, who is the supervisor at 1st national. He wasn't much of help nether because he kept making come back and forth to the office just to meet with a Adam West. Adam west was also another placement director who didnt really find me any jobs. I wasted my money traveling to their office just to meet Adam West when they could of just discussed this over the phone, or through text messages since that is how 1st national conducts their unprofessional business. Robert Wragge supposedly had set-up another interview for me at Myclean cleaning services in Manhanttan, NY with the director of human resources who is a "close buddy" of his. I went to the scheduled interview to meet the the director of human resources, and not to my surprise, one of the receptionist told few others and I that the director will not be coming to the office today to conduct any interviews. I contacted Robert Wragge and told him of this event and he stated he will call the director to schedule another interview. I have not spoken to Robert Wragge again in about a month. I was then called about 2 weeks ago from one of the receptionist at 1st national who tried to do a follow up with me. I told her what was my status and demanded that 1st national does not harass me ever again. I told her I will not pay another penny until they have a definite job for me. I still have yet to hear from her. In conclusion to all of this, Ive learned my lesson not to trust another business like 1st national career center. It is ashamed on how inhumane they are and how they take people's money regardless of their situation. I am a father of four children who is still unemployed and searching for work on my own so that I can provide for my family. Do you think 1st national even considered that when they took my $400 from me??? No they didn't. I too have also filed a complaint with the DCA and pray to God that 1st national gets shutdown and they refund all the money they owe back to everyone. I dont care if my comment is removed or reported as abuse, but I know I will do whatever in my power to make sure that everyone knows about 1st national's scam. if anyone thinks that im lying and would like to see the proof for themselves, I will be more than willing to send you screen shots of the conversation between Frank Tolbert and I and also would be willing to email you the recorded conversation between Frank Tolbert and the manager of Spotless Services Inc.

The latest number he is using is 6469420079  tony and is running the same lines about the $100 for training.  People that have shown up for interviews have seen signs on the walls that state " if you think this is a scan, leave the premises now" lol.  Anyway it is definitely a scam they have numerous offices and employment ads listed for that same address.  They have also been reported to the BBB.  Think about it if they lure 10 people a day that's $1000.  Not bad lol.  It's a front desk job scam along with flyer passer jobs and others that cover every job group but no education required.  Don't fall for it!  They've picked the wrong time to scam people.

I just received a call from a Mr. Ryan from phone number 212-913-9760 - I too responded to this post on CraigsList.  He sounded VERY Un-professional - only announced himself as "Mr. Ryan you applied for a job at my company" Very sternly and very "i have a chip on my shoulder, dont question me" sort of way - but never even gave me the company name, i had to look it up on my caller ID.  I've worked in an office environment for 20 years and this "opportunity" sounds VERY SHADY! I got the same schpeel as everyone else - $100 to take a training class to be certified security and that i have to bring it with me TODAY.  No THANKS!  First National sounds like a BANK not a Security Company!  Im so glad i researched this prior to even considering going to meet this man.

Mr. Ryan would not specify the name of the business. "When you get to 327 West 36th Street 8th & 9th Avenue on 12th Floor," He said, Tell the receptionist you are here for an interview with Mr. Ryan." He specified to bring $100 upfront. The noise in the background was loud. Now why is that so? All jobs should never tell you to fork over money.

I'll tell ya,Im at the point where Im wondering if ALL of Craigslist is basically B***S***. I got the same call from Ryan and I got the same line from a different guy two weeks ago - $100.00 for "training" for your certificate. ANY LEGIT COMPANY WILL NEVER ASK YOU FOR $$$ UP FRONT,if anything it would come out of your first few paychecks !! - YOU'RE LOOKING FOR WORK,REMEMBER ?? - who has $100.00 to lose ?? - NOONE

Scams like this are making "Craigslist" a real drag...........smh
