Quite a few of these calls are made only for the purpose of seeing if a number is active. If you pick it up they will sell the number to telemarketers.

This scam will continue becuase there are people, expecially the elderly and the gullible, who fall for this everyday. All they are doing is stealing your credit cards, if they can steal $500 in ten minutes, what do you think they can do in 9 hours. STOP THEM FROM STEALING!!! NEVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE.

It is not just one criminal, it is a network of them. They do it because it works! They do not care about you, the DNC list or the law. THEY ARE CRIMINALS, since when has any criminal cared? Blocking number is completely useless becuase they will use another. Every national news network has reported on this scam and every major newspaper has at least twice this year, and people still fall for it. SAD! Do not press any number, do not call the number back, just ignore the call and report them to the Do Not Call List. Warn others as well. This telemarketing scam has been going on for a while and people should be use to it by now and should know what to do. NEVER EVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE. PERIOD. Read your laws folks. Not to charities, not to debt collectors, not to bill collectors.

Calls are always the same, out of area, weird number, robo call. Calls are all faked/spoofed. Caller ID generally is a DEAD GIVEAWAY. Stop this scam by stop falling for it. Got a call from "card member services" to "lower my interest rates" on my credit card (but which one?!).
I've been on do not call for a while, so I reported it at donotcall.gov

did not answer.

If you will just give them your credit card #, ssn, and birthdate, they will quit calling you.

Call from "credit card services", which I hung up on. Known to be a scam telemarketer.  They called again an hour later, this time caller id showed #347-896-6046 with no name ID.  Same recorded message

I have been numerous calls from this "card services" number and many times it's a different number, so I can't block them all.   Last month I stayed on the line trying to find out who they are.  Who backs them.  I asked them to stop calling me  take me off their list.  he called me a Bi--- and hung up on me.  Tonight, I pressed one.  He asked if I pressed one to get lower interest rates.  I stated, "yes".  He asked me if I had more than $5,000 in debt to qualify.  I slowly and factly asked him what company backs up this loan and he told me a simple yes or no would suffice,  I didn't have to talk to him like a retard!!!!!    Who are these people.  They are annoying.  They have called and harrassed my son also.

These slimmy scammers just called me with the usual recording about lowering my interest rate.  I've given up on pushing to get no more calls, reporting them to the FCC etc. So when I get calls like this I push the button to talk to them and then put the phone by the tv or radio.  It confuses them and sometimes the scammers actually try to have a conversation with my tv! Eventually they get frustrated and harmlessly hang up.  HA!

I have fun with these guys, I pretend I am really trying to lower my interest rate. I waste their time. I put them on speaker phone. Keep saying brb and walk away for a couple mins. Give them wrong credit card numbers (obviously). Heck sometimes I just leave them on hold and never return! Sooner or later they will get the idea.

Received a call today from this #.  Card Services left a mesage on the answering machine re: my last chance to clear up my credit card debt.  I don't have any debt. It's been my last chance for 2 years!  Am on the DNC list.  Very annoying.

The caller,213-375-0067 ( Card Service ?) sent us a recorded message agin 10:26, 11/26/2012.
I returned the call and another recored message on the machine. It allowed me to list on my phone as : Don't call list".

Got the "card service" call pressed buttons, got a real person. Told them to quit calling me, she started shouting profanities at me. Awesome people huh?

Why would anyone answer a call from someone from CARD SERVICES unless you just want to mess with them? Put them on speaker and record their calls, then play their own words back at them.

Our attourney retrieved the phone logs and the number was frauded by  Delta Outsource Group, a Debt Collector from Missouri.

Just received one of these.  My policy is never to answer a number I do not recognize... and those with odd area codes.

Its exchange 375 is managed by US TELEPACIFIC CORP. - CA.

The number is currently on switch number LSANCAGJDS4 (switch is a technical specification for phone hobbyists) .

Well, I thought the Attorney General of our state had put an end to these chumps, but I guess not. I thought the caller I.D. looked familiar so I didn't answer. I hadn't recieved one of these calls in a long time. I'll be going to the A.G.'s website after this one to drop him a line. He seems to be a real Pit Bull about this stuff.
