By the way, they called me using 214-670-0055   and I had to borrow money to catch up on the payment but how do I get my vehicle back. They lied to me, saying if I called early they could bring the car back out!!  These people could care less, I was making my payments and no notification about the one late, no phone calls except the one yesterday and my life turned int a living hell.

I had them call me yesterday using the name Dallas County Investigators, saying they needed to talk to me about a case# and to call them back and ask for Ms Reeves. Living right in the area I did not know what to think, and then they said they had an order for repossession of my vehicle. I asked why, I had been making the payments and so on and the car was insured, what was going on. Said I needed to call the Fifth Third Bank, she listened to me, this was Pam, and I called them. Turned out my payment in December 2011 had been returned and I had totally forgot about it, but did pay jan, Feb and March of 2012. Turns out they are considering me behind by 76 days even though they took all my other payments and called in for repo, order was in and so on. Called Pam back and she told me she had turned in an order cancelling the repossession and that I had NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.   Then at 11 pm last night, March 28,2012  my car was being towed!  The driver told me to call Pam in the morning but that she had no authority to cancel a repo!
    I called this morning at 8:10 left message, again at 8:45 left message at 10 till 10 am she answered the phone, seemed so surprised and said she would call them and call me back. Heard nothing after an hour and called her back at 11 am and got a man, asked for her then I was switched to a machine. I thought she seemed sincere in trying to help me but evidently I trust people too much, I am a heart patient and am in congestive heart failure and have someone drive me to my appointments, I have never had this happen to me, and I do not know what I am to do, I am in a rural area, no service of any type around, people out here need vehicles and it is an hour drive into the Heart Center.  I have the money to catch up the payment but I do not know how I would get all the way into Dallas to the lot they have the car and pay all the fees and all to get the car back.

I too work for the federal government.  They are calling my government desk several times a day sometimes ......  without leaving messages and then leaving messages on weekends.

FYI - ALL of my bills are paid, I have never been arrested or have gotten a ticket from anywhere and my automobile is financed through FORD at 0%.  Whomever is/is not paying something or doing something that they are supposed to be handling themselves is none of my business.

I truly believe mine is a case of mistaken identity as I work in one state and legally/financially reside in another one several states away.  I dont know what the deal is as from the other postings I have read - my impression is this is some kind of a backwater collection agency that subscribes to harassment and shady almost illegal tactics to gain otherwise private information from people to suit whatever idiotic purpose/debt that any phone number/people search effort has the serious misfortune of crossing their desks.  They seem almost relentless. I will be phoning them back tomorrow and asking the to cease and desist their efforts. FYI - Saying "DO NOT CALL HERE AGAIN" should be sufficient enough to end or severly limit the amount of calls they are allowed to make to you.  Keep a record of the phone calls you receive and what was said and file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, The Better Business Beaureu (please forgive my spelling) Division of Consumer Affairs.  If they get enough complaints they will shut them down and fime them  and these individuals who call you can be personally liable for their statements/behaviour as they likely signed a release statement saying so for their employment.

They are skip tracers... Received a call from this number and they were looking for someone who had previously listed my name and number as a reference or personal contact.

rcvd call from investigator davis. no agency name provided. are they police investigators or just a collection agency?

How do you stop them from calling your job?

Investigator John Black called my place of employment looking for my brother-in-law, who owes several car payments. I work for the Federal government. My job requires a security clearance. This could have caused me a lot of trouble at work. I'm filing complaints against this company, and the bank that hired them. They will also call you from 972-235-8727.

I just got a call from a woman identifing herself as Investigator Davis from this number.  She was asking for information about someone I know.  Luckily, I did not give out anything, just took her information and a case number.  I was surprised when I googled it!  Thanks for everyones responses.  Sneaky, aren't they?!

They keep calling saying they are investigators, and I need to call them ASAP....

YEA ITS A CAR REPO COMPANY. I USED TO WORK FOR A TOTE THE NOTE CAR LOT AND THEY WANTED US TO MAKE CALLS SAYIN WE WERE DALLAS COUNTY RESTITUTION... PEOPLE GET THAT MESSAGE AND GET NERVOUS AND CALL BACK AND WHEN U DO U GET A REPO CALLER TRYIN TO LOCATE YOUR VEHICLE

I received a call from Investigator Wilcox from that same number.  They are sent out by Consumer finance to repo cars.

did you find out who this person worked for? they called me too, investigator davis.... I don't think it is with the police, probably private investigators.

THEY ARE INVESTIGATORS FOR A LOCAL CAR COMPANY.  IF YOUR RELATIVES HAS A CAR THEY HAVE NOT PAID FOR THEN THEY WILL FILE A THEFT CASE WITH THE POLICE.

Said they were investigators getting ready to file a case on a relative.

DID THEY SAY DETECTIVES OR INVESTIGATORS? CUZ I KNOW A BUNCH OF INVESTIGATORS THAT ARE NOT DTECTIVES.... DID YOU GET THEM RECORDED?
