Report the calls to the Do Not Call Registry .....
Really
sara 2014-05-02 13:47:00 Unknown
You can call back and press 2 to be added to their Do Not Call list. Supposedly.

Just got a call from this number. Caller ID reads "American Alarm." I get SO many calls like this every single day. I never answer them. I also never use my real number when filling out information online, and never have. I believe that these bottom-feeders get my number from .... TAH DAH!!! ... THE DO NOT CALL LIST!! And what better place? They know there will be no repercussions. This is just another government agency set up to take our tax money and provide us with nothing in return. I'm seriously thinking of removing my number from the list.

Worst voice response computer program I've ever heard. Jonathan Tyler doesn't exist.....Total SCAM.

I just got a call from them. Caller ID says American Alarm. Same computerized Jonathan Tyler. Said Hi, I'm Jonathan Tyler, how are you today? I responded with a kiss my bleep. Computer JT says can you repeat that. Me sure I can, so I did then hung up.
It gave me my laugh for the day.

I got the call LATE last night BUT using nomorobo it hung up on them after the first ring
www.nomorobo.com, it blocks ALL computer generated/telemarketer calls
Kathryn54 2014-04-29 23:39:02 Unknown
Sorry...no one on this site is calling you. This site is for letting others know that a number is wonky. Your pleas will go unanswered.
Kathryn54 2014-04-29 23:36:20 Unknown
We removed all of our numbers from the DNC list and the telemarketing/scam calls diminished significantly!!!
Kathryn54 2014-04-29 23:33:24 Unknown
Bravo on everything you said, except for the last sentence. Reporting it to the DNC Registry accomplishes nothing. Thousands of people have reported crap to them, and they have done nothing...............
It IS ALL A SCAM FOLKS! 2014-04-29 21:08:22 Unknown
Telemarketing scams are the new email spams. You will receive many many more calls from various numbers. All the numbers and caller ID's are faked/spoof. The criminals will use another fake number tomorrow and then another the day after that and so forth. Telemarketing scams are on the rise and YES the person on the other end know they are trying to scam you, which makes them criminal low-lives too. Criminals do not care about you nor the law.
These calls aren't going to stop you will receive many more (worth repeating). Do not pick up. Do not bother pressing any buttons or wasting their time. They are criminals. Criminals do not care.
Never ever give out personal information over the phone. Never ever give out personal information over the phone. Repeat, repeat, repeat. Especially do not provide personal information over the phone to telemarketers that CALL YOU.
You will not win anything, there is no lowering of your credit card interest rate, there is no home security, computer fix, auto warranty, no medical alert devices or no free government money. There is no company just criminals looking to steal your identities and your hard earned money.
Warn the elderly and warn the gullible. Take the time to let others know.
Don't take the calls personally. A computer does all the work until you press a button. Then your call is forwarded to a criminal operator who attempts to steal your personal info. Don't be a victim. Do not provide any personal information over the phone and just ignore the calls. Never ever give personal information over the phone. Not full name. Not full address. Definitely do not give date of birth over the phone. Definitely do not provide your social security number over the phone. And definitely do not provide financial information over the phone.
Beware of out of your calling area callers. Beware of weird caller ID's. And hang up on unwanted automated telemarketing calls and unsuspecting calls. Don't allow criminals to waste your time. Ignore their calls.
Take the time to warn others, report the calls to the Do Not Call Registry and beware.

This one has called every day for a couple of weeks. Since the first call I've had them on my blocker box, but decided to call them back with the old *67 trick to block my outgoing number. I left them a nice message noting that I have turned over the detailed records of their repeated "Do Not Call" violation calls via a report to the FCC. Suck on that, scumballs!
Sandy 2014-04-28 16:50:48 Telemarketer
Call came in as American Alarm. No, no this american is NOT alarm(ed)... LOL. Spammers gotta get up way before now to try and get to me. Don't recognize number, don't answer. Ringers bother ya, cut 'em off. Guess they'll never learn. If they want to get in touch with me, send it snail mail babes.. LOL. I don't owe anybody, I don't want to buy anything you're selling, I don't want to get help with the interest on my credit card and I damn sure don't need my share of the stimulus money... LOL. Good luck suckers, you're gonna need it!

JW...do you actually think they read this stuff, and will adhere to your request?
Got a call from the same people...let it roll to message system, they hung up partway through the outgoing announcement. Idiots.

Was on the phone & this call came in. Wrote down the number & found this info. They called FOUR times while I was on the phone! Just a nuisance telemarketer.

Came up American Alarm (lol) on caller ID. I let my fax machine handle this call. Just about ready to go to line blocking where you have to enter your number before the call goes through to me. That is Century Link's answer to stop these illegal actions. The only thing is all our friends, doctor, etc have to put their number in as well. It would be better for them to stop callers from "spoofing" their phone numbers. If they had to put in their real numbers this would all stop.

Did not leave a message.

This phone number shows as American Alarm on my caller id. I am on the FCC do not call registry. These people have called me relentlessly from 4/16/2014 to today 4/24/2014, and this is just since I started keeping track of their calls. They call both am and pm daily. I answer, then there is a brief pause, then a recorded message like "we are in your area today and will install an alarm free of charge...". There is no human to tell to stop calling. I went on the FCC website and filed a complaint and in the comments section put down the date and time of each call. Maybe that will help. I am going to check on filing a lawsuit against them. I believe they can be fined, and the fine paid to those receiving the calls, a large fine per call, something like $1,500 per call.

They called me yesterday. Didn't answer, they didn't leave a msg.
Caller ID says American Alarm

Just received a call from this #. I did not answer, they left no message. Tired of these unsolicited calls. I am on the DNC list.

The current administration is giving the DNC list away to favorite PAC's

Number blocked. Problem solved.
AnnoyedAsHell 2014-04-22 23:01:00 Telemarketer
Recorded message from "Jonathan Taylor" of American Alarm company marketing home security systems. Prompted to identify if I was the homeowner. I replied "no" and call disconnected. I called the number back and got recorded message directing that I press "1" to speak with someone about the product/service or "2" to add my number to the company Do Not Call list. The problem is, the telemarketers are supposed to check the National Do Not Call registry BEFORE calling numbers.
I would not do business with American Alarm or any other company that blatantly disregards the law. Placing the security of my family and home in the trust of lawbreakers ... never!

Phone rang. Checked Caller ID. Didn't recognize the number. Didn't answer. Done. No muss. No fuss. Not much time taken up with nonsense.
Didn't pick up to let the caller(s) know that it was a viable number. Didn't listen to find out what accent was used or what the purpose of the call was. Didn't care then. Don't care now.
Didn't get upset if the DNC was adhered to (I'm on it but scammers will find ways to get around it) or what Obama is going to do about it.
I have a life and instead of getting bent out-of-shape, morally indignant, cursing and slamming the phone down, and making this a big deal (instead of the small irritant that I choose to make it), I move on with my life. I'm in charge of what takes up my time.
That's just what I do. Simple. More power for me!

Yet another telemarketer with contempt for the DNC list. They called anyway and left no message. Probably some kind of scam.

Yep, the search link scammers are no better than the telemarketers who try to scam us.
